At the moment what would yours be?
mine
1.Watson class can bowl as many overs as necessery
2.Haddin+ frees up an allrounder spot down the order/ he can bat there
3.Clarke* I think ponting will be rested a bit in the series
4.White very good limited overs player
5.Ferguson got to be there
6.M.Hussey very good at 6 in limited overS format
7.S.Smith/Christian depends on pitch
8.S.Smith/Christian/Doherty depends on pitch
9.Lee leading bowler in ryobi/ on song best one day bowler in australia
10.Harris very good bowler
11.Hilfenhous good bowler

Watson
Haddin
Ponting
Clarke
Hussey
White
Christian/Smith
Johnson/Bollinger
Lee
Harris
Doherty

EDIT: That's my full strength team. No idea what they'll do about resting players. I'd lmagine Ferguson and Marsh will get a lot of games.

Team I'd play for the World Cup so play full strength during this summer to prepare:

Watson
Hodge
Ponting
Clarke
White
Hussey
Haddin
Smith
Harris
McKay
Tait/Lee (I'd have Tait infront of Lee but dont know where Taits at with injury)

Tait won't get through anymore than 4 overs. Not worth the risk at all IMO. Harris and Lee with the new pill will cause some real damage while Tait will just bowl wides and be off injured after 2 overs.

Fully fit and he will ****ing destroy teams in 10 overs. No one in world cricket wants to face Tait in limited overs, short bursts. Most feared limited overs bowler in the world.

And regarding Smith being a frontline bowler, he'd share the overs with Clarke, and he should be given that responsibility/ opportunity.

Problem is it just never happens, he hasn't even played cricket this summer FFS. He needs to get through some Ryobi cup games before he will even be considered for Australia.

Add Lee and Ferguson to that 11 and that will be close to the ODI squad, except when Watson is rested of course...
Edited it to include Binga, and dropped spud Johnson. Ferg will be around the mark, but I think Christo's form with bat and ball is too good to ignore. Ferg/Christo/Smith are probably all battling for that 7 spot, or we might go with this...

1. Watson
2. Marsh
3. Ponting
4. White
5. Clarke
6. Hussey
7. Haddin
8. Lee
9. Harris
10. Doherty
11. McKay

But I prefer team A, gives your bowling more depth, and batting is just as good.

IMO, the following should be our 15 man squad for the World Cup, and should be what we work from this Summer too:

  1. Shane Watson
  2. Brad Haddin
  3. Ricky Ponting
  4. Cameron White
  5. Michael Clarke
  6. Mike Hussey
  7. Dan Christian
  8. Brett Lee
  9. Ryan Harris
  10. Xavier Doherty
  11. Clint McKay
    -----------------
  12. Shaun Marsh
  13. Callum Ferguson
  14. Steve Smith
  15. Doug Bollinger
