Only seen Lucy play a small handful of games. Seems like still has a fair way to go. Although recruited as a Full Back he hasn't really played there. He is no certainty to make it in the AFL. I would give him a second year, mainly because I feel all young players should get two years to show what they have got, but if the coaches have seen enough to decide that they don't think he will make it then fair enough.

You are right in saying he has a fair way to go. He is average and his disposal is ordinary.

He might have told the club he wants to go home. We wouldnt get much more then a very late pick for him which we would have been forced to take, this way if he do delist him we can pick up an experienced player in the PSD. Thats if he does want to go home. We will also be getting Darcy Daniher next year as FB

DD wants to go to Sydney is what im hearing...:(

Have read a couple of Mock drafts in the last few days that have Carlton taking Leuenberger at #1 and Essendon taking Gumbleton at #2. Is that what you guys think will happen? I would have thought Gibbs, Hansen and Thorp would be more likely than Gumbleton, or is there a rumour going round in regard to Gumbleton that I haven't heard? Or, most likely, am I reading too much into mock drafts on BF?

Anthony Daniher, of the famous Daniher footballing clan from the small town of Ungarie, in south-western NSW, played for South Melbourne/Swans from 1981 to 1986, experiencing the last emotional days at the Lake Oval, the first mad years at the SCG and the explosive arrival of Edelsten. "It was green when we were up there," he says of arriving in Sydney. "It was tough. We were foreigners. We were welcome, but it was hard work."

Darcy Daniher will be Essendons father/son selection in the 2007 national draft. he is no Tom Hawkins but he is 192cm, quick, strong and a long kick. He needs to continue to work on his endurance and agility. He has had some worrying back and quad injuries which is unusual for one so young. He is also a very solid person off the field who has displayed leadership qualities. Longys right he started back but prefers to play forward. At AFL level I could see him playing CHF in a workhorse role. I really rate the kid as do essendons recruiting staff.

Firstly you are reading too much into mock drafts.
Secondly if Gibbs is gone, i hope we take Gumbleton, as imo, he looks to be something special, just the type of player that MAY become a champion.

Be it Notting or someone else, we'd have to have our eye on someone.

The down side of Carlton signing Ackland, they may perhaps now be less inclined to draft Luenberger. Although perhaps not, Ackland and McLaren, quite a pair. The shortest ruck combination in the AFL.
