I know this question has probably been asked plenty of times.but I am travelling up from Bunbury for the game on saturday night and will be staying for the Hawks after match function. So i want to park as close to the ground as possible.Any suggestions

You'll get fined if you park on the street anywhere within 2/3 blocks of the oval. The fines are pretty big so I would suggest getting there early and parking a fair way away and enjoy an evening walk.

You can pay and park behind the dome cafe but the rates would be pretty steep I imagine, it's real close though. Getting there early is the key!

I always park on the city side of thomas st south of hay st - it's in the city of perth, so the twunts from the subi council can't touch it. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the ground though. Otherwise get there early and park at perth modern.

do the old park and ride on one of the train stations, claremont is a good one as there are heaps of free car parks, or you could always try your luch with the ealrier ones, like karrakatta or shenton park or daglish, but the closer to subi you are the less spots are always available.

i park behind the dome cafe in either the ground level car park or the multi-storey basment parking. its not that expensive, its close to the ground and its close to some good food outlets and restaurants.

You would be better off staying at home in Bunbury and watching it in the comfort of your own lounge instead of worrying about parking and having to sit in the worst stadium in Australia.

Cheers:thumbsu:I think I might give the one behind the Dome first.Love their coffee. Here's hoping for a great game with the Hawks getting up by a goal.

There is a multi storey car park on Hay St, only 2-3 minutes from the ground (west side). It's a pain to get out of if you want to leave straight after the game, but stick around for dinner/drinks and you'll be sweet.

OK guys i dont really want to give this secret away because if it ever got spoiled, i would be disspapointed never being able to park 4 minutes from the venue but hearing all these stories made me feel sorry for the extra effort put in by the freo faithfull.

Damn you. I reckon if you want to be able to park there again you might want to get rid of that post...

Nah, i dont think this post will create enough interest to fill the remaining car park space available here.

And if it does, i still have another backup car park (which takes about 6 minutes to walk) but i will keep that one to myself as i have a feeling its a tad illegal.

Yeah we have our "secret" spot which is probably about 5-6 min walk once you're out of the stadium. It only holds about 5 or 6 cars and has slowly been getting more popular over the last couple of seasons, so I'm not going to blab where it is.

Makes you wonder just how many people have their own special spots.

We have premium membership this year...do we have access to any parking or do we have to brave the streets???? TIA :)

freo4eva - u suck, big time!! cant believe you just gave that away! you really should remove that post!!

For the record...on Saturday night...tried to go into that undercover parking next to Automasters..but just as we were about to pull in an old fella was wheeling a wheelie bin out...I am assuming to put in the middle of the road to stop people parking there???

Ended up parking in West Leederville primary for $7-...at least the car was safe eh?

For $8 you can find parking spots at the undergound Subiaco Cinemas car park (as long as you don't park in the cinema patrons only spots). Thats where I parked on Saturday and I arrived there pretty much when the game started and there were still spots available.
