Its about time this poll was made, theres been a hell of alot of debate going around about who is the best ruckman going around this year. Ill give ya a list of averages for both players throughout this year and let you decide.

Dean Cox
Avg - 17.5 disposals, 25.5 hitouts, 1 goal, 6.5 marks per game

Peter Everitt
Avg - 18.5 disposals, 27.5 hitouts, 0.9 goals , 6.5 marks a game

Factor in the fact that Everitt has spent somewhere around 10% (i think its like 9% its like 92 to 83% gametime) longer on the ground then Dean Cox has. Also remember that Everitt had his worst game of the year against Cox and has publicly said Cox is better then him

Who is the better ruckman people??

I dont see enough of Cox to be honest, but what I've seen of Spida, I don't think you can beat that.
Spida's also had a few consistent years. A serious question, where would Cox have ranked last year and the year before?

There you go. Melbourne people have only had a chance to see 2 WCE games so far (on FTA) ask anyone who saw them and they would agree that Cox destroyed Spida. IMO Coxy has being as good if not better then Everitt and Jeff White (overated) for a few years and only now is getting recogniction. I know it sounds extrmeley one eyed, but I have seen a fair bit of both these guys this year and I honestly belive its true.

Although I voted for Everitt as the better player, I would definately take Cox over Everitt at this present time as he has an extra 10 or so years in him.

Fact: Cox pantsed Everitt when WCE played Hawks
Fact: Everitt declared Cox to be the best in the league on the Footy Show after that round.

Obviously every West Coast fan voted Cox, and every Hawthorn fan voted Everitt, but outside of that, anyone who voted for Everitt doesn't know enough about football. Yes, Everitt gets the ball into the hands of Crawford/Mitchell on most occaisions, but Cox also gets it into the hands of Fletcher, Kerr and Judd just as often. West Coast's clearances are testimony to that.

Last year I would've voted Everitt and perhaps White to be better than Cox at the end of the year. 2005 is a new year. Forget about how good Everitt has been (yes he's still hands down 2nd best) and actually compare him to Cox. I suppose you Vics have only seen two games though.

Look above will you. Most people think Everitt is a better ruckman at this stage. Accept it and move on rather than whineing about how little we get to see Cox. Or that we are anti-WCE coz they are successfull at the moment.

Spider is a great ruckman. Cox has become one too.
