Pretty special catch , one handed going the other way with the arm.

The dude has the talent so who knows what his problems have been, it was good to hear Siriani went ballistic at him after a poor performance early on in training camp, maybe that was exactly what he needed as he seems to have been steadily improving since.

Eagles waived/injured RB Kerryon Johnson.
Johnson will probably clear waivers and revert to injured reserve. He will then likely be released with an injury settlement once he gets healthy. Waived by the Lions earlier this summer, Johnson arrived in Philly via waivers. With pass-catching rookie Kenneth Gainwell joining Boston Scott and Jordan Howard behind Miles Sanders, there was not going to be a spot for Johnson unless someone got hurt, and the Eagles have thus far had good health in their 2021 backfield. Johnson is still only 24 and should feature on the workout circuit for some time.

Eagles TE Tyree Jackson fractured a bone in his back and will miss 8-10 weeks.
Jackson is a former college QB who, with 6'7", 249 size and 4.59 wheels, was making the transition to tight end. Jackson had intriguing upside in a system that heavily utilizes the tight end position. However, he will now likely be waived and then re-signed after the roster is cut down to 53, then head to injured reserve.

Report: Teams have called Eagles about a trade for Andre Dillard

Posted by Charean Williams on August 19, 2021, 4:14 PM EDT

The Eagles made Andre Dillard the 22nd overall choice in 2019. He has started four games and played 339 offensive snaps since, and Jordan Mailata appears the favorite to beat out Dillard for the left tackle job.

So what do the Eagles do with Dillard?
Teams have inquired about Dillard’s availability in a trade, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

The Eagles, though, likely wouldn’t get much for Dillard. On Tuesday, the Panthers traded offensive tackle Greg Little to the Dolphins in exchange for a 2022 seventh-round pick.

Dillard strained his right knee last week and is considered week to week. He likely won’t return before the season opener. Last season, Dillard didn’t play a game as he dealt with a strained ligament in his right knee and then a season-ending biceps tear.

McLane reports the injuries are a “major obstacle” to any trade.

It doesn’t make sense for the Eagles to move on now, when compensation is low, and Dillard has base salaries of only $1.6 million and $2.2 million over the next two seasons. In addition, as McLane points out, Howie Roseman, who drafted Dillard, remains the General Manager.

So it makes more sense for the Eagles to hang onto Dillard for now and wait to see if he can stay healthy and perhaps develop into the player they thought he was going to become when they drafted him.

I'd chuck them a later pick.

WR Travis Fulgham appears to be on the Eagles roster bubble heading into final cuts.
Fulgham opened training camp as a favorite to start in three-wide sets, but has since fallen behind Quez Watkins and Greg Ward. Watkins now appears to be locked into the Eagles No. 3 role, and Ward, who is considered a reliable slot option, looks to have moved ahead of Fulgham as well. Stunningly, JJ Arcega-Whiteside may make the roster instead of Fulgham, after the former second round pick turned in a strong training camp. Fulgham may yet make the final 53, but it's clear that he is a true long shot for fantasy value in 2021.

Had to let Mullens go he was just so bad & a 6th for this dude seems incredibly cheap, nice work Howard.
does this mean they don't trust Flacco? Seems odd they would use any pick for someone that likely won't dress all season.
