Our backline needs a lot of work.

I think Larkey would make a great second forward, I feel we need full forward as well... assuming CCJ makes it as a ruckman. He seemed pretty handy up forward for Richmond this year.

We at least have good options up forward, backline needs a lot of work.

We should be able to tick off 2-3 of those with the picks we already have this year.

By far the hardest one on that list to tick off is the goal kicking mid.

Quality over quantity 100%. We aren’t starting from scratch.

- A key defender - YES
- A running half back - YES
- Small forward - NICE TO HAVE - NOT ESSENTIAL
- *potentially another key forward if our current keys don’t work out - NO HOLE - WE HAVE LARKEY, CHOM, EDWARDS AND CCJ

Atm the holes are purely in the back half and that is where we need to concentrate recruitment this year and next.

Next year we will also need to pick up a ruck - the quality of which will depend upon how CCJ develops - I suspect we will need to invest in a legitimate first ruck via FA/trade.

Probably, we just never hear about it. It's a seriously slow moving trade period and the names being thrown up are not exactly great for ratings (Bobby Hill ffs).

I'd suggest that trade radio needed something to talk about for a few days and hence why it's getting so much air play. I would suggest that offers like Adelaide's has received alot of attention because it's 'three first rounders', but when you boil it down to pick 6 2021, pick 4-8 and pick 14-18 2022 it doesn't sound as sexy.

He certainly does! It would take a monumental disaster at NMFC to lose him.. He has stated he is excited by our young developing list. You dont say shit like that if you have underlying intentions to “go home” just silly and expect NMFC to be competing for the top 4 in 2/3 years why would you leave if you can taste success and glory? So a bid on Daicos in the top four and Darcy in the top six mean we end up with 39 and 40 instead of 42 and 47? And our original 40 goes back to 37 for the tigers?

If that's right the CCJ trade looks alot better all of a sudden.
