1st team done.

Pretty happy with it at the moment. On field rookies i am reasonably happy with (as happy as you can be at this stage of the year) bench rookies are just filling space until JLT and round 1 teams.

A couple pods but a reasonably standard team at this point i would have thought.

Yeah that isssue in Round 1, 2016 sucked. Thousands of people affected but they couldn't admit it or come up with a solution.
I'm still raging to this day, had to trade out 200k worth of value and started ranked about 120k, I then jumped on blokes like Sheridan, Sam Gray and Lonergan who all had good round ones but then turned to poo from there and had to trade them. Spent all of the off season for the season to working on my side to have the season done on day one.

I already selected all of my captains and emergencies the second I filled all of spots on my team, I know it's been changed now but I still get scared of it happening. :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

What happened again. Id be devastated if something like this happened would ruin the year pretty much.

Laird or cripps? is cripps even worth it? Hes been talked up but idk
Cripps, if he can do what we think he can, is absolutely worth it. The important word there, though, is if. He could go 110 or even more this year, he certainly seems to be capable of it, but we can't tell for sure until the season's well and truly started. Cripps is a gamble. It could backfire, or it could work out really, really well. Laird is relatively safe. It's up to you, do you want to take a chance on a possible Top 5 mid who could make you some cash too, or do you want a relatively assured set and forget player who should average around 100?

My side was technically incomplete at the point when the partial lockout started because I didn't have all of my emergencies and captains selected. it had nothing to do with them being Richmond or Carlton players, everything had to be picked. It wasn't ever correctly stated in the rules of the game from the start, they later edited the rules.

Nowadays it comes up that your side is incomplete in red text if they haven't all been selected, just need to make sure it says your side is compele in green from the first partial lockout. However I didn't hear of this happening last year so I'm not completely sure if you'll be stung from the partial lockout but I'm not going to wait and find out.

Preliminary team $5k remaining. Hopeful the 3x DEF and 4x FWD premiums will sustain form / roles during the season and can pretty much set and forget them. Lobb will increase in average, just a question of if he reaches premium but he's still a lock for the giants so as far as mid-priced goes he's solid. English over Hayes as the F/R to allow Lobb to be moved after R6 DPP.

Questions on Finlayson starting as a MID, may go DEF in replacement of 1 of the 5 rookies pending who gets a game R1. Would open the opportunity to either move an F/M player eg. Higgins / Ahern / Naish into the the MIDs allowing rotation.

Kelly not a lock at his price and MID only, just holding a 220k+ rookie spot (Rayner, Brayshaw, Dow, Cerra, LDU ect.)

Some mid priced mayhem players I'm looking into:
Callum Mills - More midfield minutes as a swan?
Brayden Maynard - All reports he will be going into the midfield and is training the house down (I know these things are said every year)
Jordan De Goey and Christian Petrecca - I had both these guys last year expecting them to break out, showed glimpses but never happened. Thoughts on this year?
What do you guys think?

Ive basically got my Watch List of players for the NAB cup now, i havnt looked into 'my team' for a while now and probably will try and hold off until some footy action. Everyone seems to have pretty similar sides/players unfortunatly that seems the way these days.

The NN and Gawn ruck combo seems the popular choice.
Always fairly vanilla, especially at the end of the year

So who is going to be starting with Tom Mitchell and Patrick Dangerfield? Or 1 of the 2? Or none of the 2?
I'll be starting with both
I think they have designed the price rises to be not enough to go full uber premo by the end of the season
SO if you don't start with them it is very hard to get them in later

I dont know if I can trust his injury history.
Wasn't like he has bad hamstrings though, just keeps getting knocked out. Still he copped that huge knock against Koby Stevens last year and walked away and played the game out. He's certainly underpriced and should av 80-85 at season end.

This has always been the case hasnt it?

Last year Danger was roughly 712k starting price and the top price rooks were 250k.

The only difference this year is that Titchell is 9 points more expensive as he avg more than Danger did last year by that margin

Before fanhub took over it was easier to trade 2 rookies to Uber premos in my opinion. The rookies prices don’t go up as fast or as much as the other formats.

I don’t mind this as it makes it more challenging as this is the case I think you have to start with at least 3 miss you think will be top 8 for the year.

When Dreamteam was the official game I can't remember the salary cap/player prices set up but I'm pretty sure Real Dreateam is still ran to the same price structure and with less trades most of the top teams can finish the season with a team full of top premos come seasons end.

I don't know the mathematical equation behind it but the salary cap has risen from 11m last year to 12.6m, the percentage that the salary cap has risen matches what the rise in price is for each players price so whilst it looks like each year the players cost more the salary cap matches it so the set up and structures of every side shouldn't really change.
A fantastic option to pick up in a draft league too, shouldn't currently be on a lot of people's radars so I'm hoping talk on him stays low until the season starts.

On my radar for draft

Picked him up last year late, didn’t work so well
