North Melbourne...the whole team today...what a whacking...seriously though Collingwood recovered from a crap game.
Hawthorn recovered from a crap game.
But North was a in a league of crappiness not experienced in many years.

Dead right I'll disagree.

Have a look at his 2004 Grand Final

He was one of the Brownlow favourites in 2003.

Absolute magic player
Like I said, probably a bit harsh for me to say he "lost it"

True, Wanganeen was awesome in 2003. That was probably his best season.

I just reckon that whatever respect he built up amongst football fans from 1992-1996, he just kind of lost after his move to Port. Nothing to do with anti-Victorian bias. If anything that works in his favour as we used to see the live interstate games more than Victorian games on TV (opposite to nowadays)

I reckon in most peoples' opinion, he went from champion status to "very good player"
He probably salvaged his reputation as a champion with his 2003 season and his second half goals in the 2004 Grand Final.

I thought Michael Wilson was pretty solid on Friday night too. He is still a solid player in a good team.
damn straight, he played a crucial role winning the game against the Hawks and didnt get any recognition.

He is arguably one of the most underrated players in the comp. Many Port fans will have him over anyone who has put on a Power guernsey.

surprised no one has mentioned Matthew Allan

20 Brownlow votes and All Australian in 1999 to complete and utter dud

He had a very bad stress fracture in his foot and he really struggled to get back to fitness and then he was deregistered for his part in taking cash outside his normal payment and IIRC played only a handful of games after that before being traded to Essendon.

That's because your list is shiit.

I dont know if you've heard yet, but supposedly you guys lost this weekend are out of the finals !!!! And I also heard on the grapevine that Port advanced to the prelims ;)

In other news the crows training facilities have moved to the closest lawn bowl greens.

Paul Meldrum...remember he was leading the Brownlow by a number of votes in 1988-ish but knew he couldn't win cos he was dropped by Carlton later in the year. Never really got it back.

A couple of people mentioned Adam Heuskes, good call, he was brilliant on his day.

Dale Lewis, but maybe he had injuries. Brad Boyd, also cruelled by injury. Was a gun.
