With the impressive/ improvement of guys like Walter, Duursma, Curtin, Sanders, Watson, Caddy it's a lot more competitive up the top end now, personally I still look at McKercher her favourably, but he's dropped down in my rankings a tad recentlyIs McKercher showing he is worth a top 3 pick?
From 2-9 it can be bloody hard to place players, reckon clubs will really focus heavily on the type of player they want in the top 10 rather than just best available as it’s so close. With the impressive/ improvement of guys like Walter, Duursma, Curtin, Sanders, Watson, Caddy it's a lot more competitive up the top end now, personally I still look at McKercher her favourably, but he's dropped down in my rankings a tad recently
Smartest thing I've read on here (no offence to anyone). From 2-9 it can be bloody hard to place players, reckon clubs will really focus heavily on the type of player they want in the top 10 rather than just best available as it’s so close.
Can you rank them from 2 - 9? And for extra credit rank them on what you think is best for each team based on current ladder position? From 2-9 it can be bloody hard to place players, reckon clubs will really focus heavily on the type of player they want in the top 10 rather than just best available as it’s so close.
Really a throw at the stumps from the outfield thereYes, why?
Think Duursma is really the only one who's a question mark over best fit. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go to Hawks or Carlton. Feel like the rest pretty well pick themselves. Can you rank them from 2 - 9? And for extra credit rank them on what you think is best for each team based on current ladder position?
WCE, Roos, Hawks, Blues, GWS, Swans, GWS, Dees, Suns.
How i have it (Still needing to see more Caddy)Can you rank them from 2 - 9? And for extra credit rank them on what you think is best for each team based on current ladder position?
WCE, Roos, Hawks, Blues, GWS, Swans, GWS, Dees, Suns.
If Watson is available at where ever we land there is no way we pass. He is the most Caruso type player ever. How i have it (Still needing to see more Caddy)
1. Reid
2. Walter
3. Duursma
4/5. Sanders/Curtain
4/5. Sanders/Curtain
6. Caddy
7. Mckercher
8. N.Watson
WCE - Best Available.
1.Reid
2. Duursma
North -
1. Duursma
2. D.Curtain (Maybe top if they lose Mckay)
Hawks
1. Duursma
2. Dan Curtain
3. Caddy
Then as per list
Blues
Best available as per list. Which would be Sanders. Maybe Caddy slides to back of the 8.
1. Sanders/Watson/Mckercher - Tight call
GWS
There order reflected more so by whos quite happy to go there. So its impossible to know that. They probably dont need Curtain. I think theyd really like the Tasmania prospects of Sanders and Mckercher with assuming less go home factor
1. Sanders
2. Caddy
3. Mckercher
Sydney - Best available
1. Sanders
2. Caddy
3. Mckercher
4. Watson
GWS - see above their order
Yeh this is just my opinionIf Watson is available at where ever we land there is no way we pass. He is the most Caruso type player ever.
Lots of debate on our board Watson V Caddy V Duursma. I think Watson at 2 is a reach as well.Yeh this is just my opinion
As you can see with my order i dont really rate Watson
GWS are really bound by whos happy to go there which is why ive leant towards Tasmanian types for now
I have Duursma and Walters in their own tier, i would like to see a bit more of Duursma but i really liked what ive seen and his stat lines. Moves very well through traffic for his size and very skilled, can obviousily hit the scoreboard aswell. North probably dont need a midfielder but Duursma will tske a while to reach a midfielder at AFL, unless hes a freak, which then your stoked you grabbed him. But, he adds a different dimension to Wardlaw, LDU and Simpkin. He will play plenty of flank and wing early in his careerLots of debate on our board Watson V Caddy V Duursma. Draper, Delean would be the best chances I reckon, with Ryan and Patton probably their next best hopes. That's not to say Goad wasn't impressive, he just had to share the ruck a bit too muchWith SA's champs now done who from SA is inline for a possible All Australian?
Draper
Delean
Goad
I would have Patton ahead of Ryan. Patton took a lot of kick ins which inflates his stats. Kick ins are important so they are worthy of the count but sometimes when it's all the time the stat is a bit meh. I thought he fumbled a few times at critical moments as well. He's getting drafted but probably not in the best Aust 22.Draper, Delean would be the best chances I reckon, with Ryan and Patton probably their next best hopes. Frenemies?Seems like it's time to add 'and friends' to the thread title again =(
Kozi is 171 went 1st round but not in the top 10.I have Duursma and Walters in their own tier, i would like to see a bit more of Duursma but i really liked what ive seen and his stat lines. Caddy could push into that tier, hes one i want to see much more of, i only watched those under age national carnival games of him. People said his kicking was no good, but the short highlight of his weekend performance didnt see much issue on the surface there
Watson i dont even have in my top 8. Hes a tier behind for me
I struggle to have the most developed player whos only 169cm anywhere near pick 2. The only thing helping him is the small guys producing on the AFL stage right now and being all the rage. Butters, Gulden ect. Hes breaking history by going anywhere in the first round
Yeh so hes 2 cm shorterKozi is 171 went 1st round but not in the top 10.
Agree. They should just use their own threads and not Hijack yours.Seems like it's time to add 'and friends' to the thread title again =(
