Yeah i though he was great. He is one of the few 'legendary' players you can honestly have time for. His words on how the game is being 'played with' came straight from the heart. He pretty much said what most passionate footy people have been thinking all along.
The game has become more about winning (for coaches) so they don't get the chop, than playing attractive football (which has made our game so great).
Wish i had a transcript of what he said...and bottled it. It was a pleasure to hear those words from such a great champion.

I agree guys, he pretty much said what most people are thinking. He put it very well, he's a true champion.

that has nothing to do with the man as a footballer and a great footballer identity
obviously i didnt see him play but what i have heard and seen of polly on film is amazing, he along with coleman and reynolds, is someone i wish i could go back in time to see live
as sam said he changed the game and is probably one of the reason the game is as great as it is today

Couldn't agree more. Polly Farmer IS a legend, what he had to say about the way the game is heading was excellent.
Shame we don't have men like him running the competition.
