Christ! The poor bloke, I hope he's okay!

I feel so bad, I saw him and had a chat to him just after training, he was as happy as Larry, and to now know that this has happened in his life, I mean, i'm struggling to put words to it!

Edit: Just realised that it occured a week ago!

That still sucks!

terrible thing to have happen :(

I admire his spirit and mental strength to push through, play and do enough to hold his spot IMO! :thumbsu:

We get sort-of blase about arm-bands to the point where we don't even wonder who they're there for anymore. I noticed the bands too and didn't think anything of it beyond "two?". Goes to show those armbands represent real people that were special to the player.

A tragic waste. Sympathies to David, his friends and family. He's a long way from home, I hope the club is looking after him in this.

its that suppose to be funny???

I dont think so, but he may be pointing out there may be some irony in that he was "talking" on his phone while driving and then found out his mates had passed away in a car accident (talking on mobiles proven to distract and cause car accidents), he then pulled over.

I think it was poor form for the reporter to report it like that, despite the ironic circumstances the whole lot about quoting his old man on the driving and pulling over thing was just plain irrelevant.

That is besides the point. Young lives are lost and one of our own has been heavily effected by it. The fact that he played in perth and still attended the breakfast after knowing all this shows he is a class act with good mental strength. All the best David!

i lost the best friend I've ever had last December. He woulda been 25 in April so i know what he's going through. Hope he gets the help he's gong to need, sooner rather than later

i dont know if u were been serious or not..

Hats off to Ellard for going out of his way and turning up at the wablues function on the Saturday. He was not on the card but answered our request. Under these circumstances we had him on a pedestal, but now we will gold plate the thing!
