Roast Port Adelaide's failure to do a HIA assessment on Aliir - [AFL confirms both players FAILED concussion tests on Monday]

Aliir and Jones were both OUT. Everyone watching could see it. Aliir was limp immediately after the contact and crumpled to the ground.

The fact that Aliir then went back into the game approximately 5 minutes later with no HIA being undertaken by the Port Adelaide medical staff is simply unforgiveable in the modern AFL.

There is going to be an absolutely massive penalty coming Port Adelaide's way for this.

They did the same last year against us, when Butters and Jonas collided in the last quarter and they had already used the sub.

We've done it with individual players as well too. Ebert comes to mind earlier in his career before the concussions ended it.

So, so poor. The AFL would be fuming, particularly when the league is just on the precipice of a class action on this.

The NRL moved to independent doctors ruling players out - this is why.

The NFL is the same for what it's worth.

I find it incredible to believe that Jones has merely a “migraine” and that Aliir didn’t require a HIA.

I’d think the doc would be in less trouble if he performed a HIA at least as then he could point to his findings as medical evidence.

Incredible.

They were running fast and smashed heads - how could a HIA not be required??
