i came here after hearing on the saints board there was 2 pages of doogs talk in here

then i stayed for the ben keays talk. my god what a w***er he is.

i reckon the howard trade will go down as a massive win win for both clubs. especially with georgiades there. he will be an absolute gun!

good luck for the rest of the season guys and next week. i reckon you guys are the team to beat this year! well coached, well balanced, really surging for the cup!
Thanks and shame the umpiring was so bad for your game. Glad you got the win of course.
Yes Doooogs was a bit of a favourite here. We are still puzzled why we traded him for so little ( with Ryder thrown in too) but I guess our club hasn’t done too much wrong in trading/ drafting over past couple of years so we must’ve had a reason / plan.

You cant get a compo pick after one bad year you ****s

Especially when there have been so many factors that got them to this point that are wholly their own fault.

Nah but unfortunately the AFL is usually overly generous with a compo pick in this scenario to make up for it.

Yeah. AFL won't outright give them a priority pick but you can bet your bottom dollar that they'll be overly generous with the Brad Crouch compensation. As always with the AFL, it's all about optics.

Another reason for public player salary. Transparency. Particularly around compensation picks, and also means clubs can't just throw out the "he left for money" slander without good reason.

Bet we have never received an umpiring apology

Where the hell is the apology after the SPP disgraceful 50m last week after Nichols called play on.

Time for this club to speak out about the amount of our guys that get belted high without getting the deserved free kicks as well. It's become a trend lately.

And they expect pick 2 compo for him?
No its Brad that they're talking about getting free agency compensation for.

They expect his contract offer to match the rumoured near $1million from Gold Coast last year. He might've commanded that in 2017, but hopfeully the years since show other clubs the reality.

North Melbourne would be desperate for Crouch you’d think. They are in the relegation zone. Probably playing in front of bigger crowds in the lockout then they will have next year with 100% stadium capacity if they stay this shit.

3. PORT ADELAIDE (6-1, 153.8%)

Previous rank:
1

Win and drop two spots? Yes, it’s a little harsh on the Power, but it’s more a sign of how close and confusing the premiership race is right now.

Plus, they were behind when the final siren sounded on Sunday. Robbie Gray’s heroics got them over the line against Carlton - and realistically, with how many late shots on goal they had, Port deserved the win.

It’s getting harder and harder to imagine the Power missing the eight from here. They host St Kilda this week, and if the Saints were going to struggle beating the Crows, they should have a very hard time against Ken Hinkley’s side.

From there, Port still has games to come against teams like Sydney, North Melbourne and Hawthorn. The path to double-digit wins is very clear.

Next game: St Kilda at the Adelaide Oval, Saturday night

lol i hate when the umpires come out during the week and admit they got calls wrong. i remember an article last year or the year before saying they acknowledged there were 6-8 wrong over one round. just come out and say footy's fixed and be done with it, people will still tune in if you're just honest
