Hawthorn won 17 games this year, 5 of them by less than a goal. They lost no games by less then a goal.
We won 10 games this year and won none of them by less than a goal. Port won no games by less than a goal.

Had they lost their 5 and we had won our 3 we would have 13 wins and them 12. But the chasm between the two teams is a lot more than just 8 straight kicks.
