My pick would be Collingwood. Young team on the up who should compete well for the rest of his career. Enormous unbridled media exposure. I mean Nick ****ing Maxwell managed to get all over our TV screens. Dangerfield would be on the footy show every 2nd week and he'd be guest commentating in the bye weeks.

um, I'm no fan of twitter, i think any player who uses it (which seems to be all of them) is pretty stupid.. but i don't understand how some of you guys think Colquhoun's tweet was great and a burn while Gibbs sweated on a reply for 2 days before hitting back..

i also don't understand how it's on the afl.com.au website but that's another story...

I think Sam's rebuttal of "come for a look" was great. It's not like Gibbs will be getting any touches this week anyway.

I just put a post up in Portfanradio sticky to get some feedback if any of you punters have time.

Cheers

yeah, for sure... no doubt - I guess I think my point was I don't see how you can think Colquhuoon's tweet(s) were great, but Gibbs' were lame and a 'Constanza jerk-store' comment..

they were all in the same spirit, so you give them wraps for them all, or for none

I think other people (i loved it) thought that it took him too long to form a comeback.

Still think Dangerfield is off to Victoria, just not to Geelong. More brown and gold and less blue and white.

Dangerfield to Hawthorn would break the system more than Franklin to Sydney did.

Can see the $120k per veteran outside the cap going promptly.

Wouldn't that be because he wasn't dropped earlier?

The funny bit was the that Gibbs, one of the more well known players in the league, was still hanging on to the hurt from an off the cuff tweet from a Port Adelaide fringe player several days later, to the point where he saw that he was dropped and went in to have another crack.

It would be pretty embarrassing if Blaine Boekhorst made a comment to Robbie Gray over twitter and several days later, Gray felt the need to have a crack back about something totally unrelated to have the last word.

The rustled jimmies are so chumpy you can carve it.

another crack ?

as far as I saw, wasn't that the first time Gibbs responded..?

anyway, I don't really care about it, but it's funny how apparently Sam's a champ but Gibbs' jimmies are rustled....

A crack, I guess, as opposed to another crack.

Sam's tweet is neither here nor there.

Gibbs firing back several days later over an unrelated issue is funny.

There's not that much to get.

Or you could be reading too much into Gibbs response, maybe he was just looking at the teams and saw Sam was dropped and thought it would be funny to pay him one back. I doubt Gibbs would have been stewing over Sam's tweet waiting for a chance to get redemption.

Whatever your cup of tea, Gibbs is like unwrapping the remote control car you asked for on 1980's Christmas morning only to find both your parents forgot to buy batteries.

Who'd have thought that after all the hullabaloo Adelaide actually dodged a bullet by missing out on him on the father-son.

haha ofcourse..

I hope people haven't thought I've been meaning to defend his playing credentials or anything...

if we got him as a third-rounder, he would've been 'handy'...

but yeah I get your point...
