Port Melbourne Reserves Result

Port Melbourne reserves got thrashed today, which could be a good thing as i doubt this would have happened if McIntosh had been playing. So here's to hoping that Dunbar finally realises that this kid can play after all.

It's a disgrace that port after finishing on top have to travel to tassie in their semi final, but hopefully hamish is BOG and they have a win.

Here are the reserves scores if anyone is interested:

Northern Bullants 3 . 4 5 . 6 11 . 8 20 . 14 - 134

Port Melbourne 1 . 3 3 . 6 3 . 8 5 . 10 - 40

So much for the future.
Listed to play in this were Shore,Perry,Grima,McIntosh,S.Motlop,Gill(rookie)

most of those guys were also listed to play vfl seniors, those teams that are provided on the vfl website are useless. you can only guess as to who is actually going to play.

Obviously whoever played were as weak as ****.
id agree with that, none of the guys that you mentioned above were in the best or the goals for that match, so hopefully that means they are in the seniors today.

Interestingly, I believe Scott Grainger did not play for the Bullants reserves, making the win for them even more resounding.

I know players involved with the Northern Bullants. The Northern Bullants were by far the best team during the year in the VFL reserves. Winning every game and drawing 1 game to port i think

Some of the Northern Bullants reserves players should have played in the seniors in the VFL but appently carlton players took priority and that why Northern Bullants and Carlton are not alligned anymore

Yeah. the Bullants reserves killed Box Hills reserves. I recall I was scribing for Box Hill doing statistics, writing down the stats for the Bullants side. My arm was pretty sore afterwards with guys like Grainger and Saad going nuts. :D

So are you suggesting that based on this one result we should get rid of all the players you mentioned?

I went and watched. Shore, Perry and Grima played.

Shore was pretty quiet all game. Perry started well but lost all confidence from the second quarter when he dropped an uncontested mark after hearing footsteps from the pack behind him. Grima was serviceable but didn't stand out, although it was hard to name good players for Port, especially after the first quarter.

thanks for the report ted, bit disappointing to here about the poor performances of those 3 guys, did urch play or is he still injured?? i wouldnt read too much into those performances though, as it is at the end of a long season for these teenagers and dont really have much to play for. i look forward to seeing them all pushing for a spot in our wizard cup squad early next year!!

They weren't the worst in the side, and I probably sounded a bit more negative than I meant to. I still like the look of Perry and think we will come on OK, he's a big kid, moves well and reads it well for a KP player, just lost a bit of confidence and they were getting flogged.

Grima was solid enough and didn't do much wrong, just wasn't outstanding which was understandable. Too hard to judge Shore in such a one sided game. Urch didn't play.
