The North match was a strange one. We had patches where we looked like we'd walk all over anybody, and patches where we looked like Melbourne would walk all over us. We'll need more of the former to beat Freo.

I'll go with Adelaide by 13.

This game'll be more like Sando prefers. Tight and contested

Who does Crowley go to? He normally hits up and smashes Thommo, leaving Sloane and Danger to chop up the purple people eaters

Or he could go to Danger only to realise Thommo and Sloane will chop

or he could go to Sloane...... You see where i'm going!

Its Russian Roulette for them against us. They always seem to nullify one of the 3, but then the other 2 just go boonta

I remember Sloane's game at Subi last year :hearts:

Another must win game. A few of them lately. A win will set us up nicely as we gear up towards the middle to end of the season

how's everybody feeling about this one?

I just suspect we'll be too potent for them, despite their superb defence.

Our KPD's might get a bit bored, nobody in the current 22 is of any concern to me. Their defence is obviously solid, but our unpredictable, sneaky, makeshift forward line will probably surprise them.

basically, kick straight and have sauce in some decent form and we will sail home in this one.

  • Danger, Danger off the chain, 34 touches, 3.2

  • Jenkins explodes, but doesn't kick straight, 3.5

  • Kerridge performs the rare feat of backing-up his breakout game with a solid, multiple goal effort

  • Crows by 27

Adelaide vs Fremantle, aami stadium, 13:40 Saturday June 1st.

This game is another dangerous one for us. Freo have a tendency to get out to an early lead, and then go into lock down to protect that lead. If you couple that with our slow starts, it doesn't look good.

I would love to be optimistic about it, but this is going to be a tough game.

Predictions:
Crowd 37,500

Final score:
Adelaide 10.10 70
Freo 12.11 83
:(

Prove me wrong, Crows

yo crazy.

they our beeatchiss. at footy park too.

we just hit some form, had the inspirational win, climbed the ladder of hope, settled the forward line... we laughin.

they are ravaged with injury, our midfield is superior, our forward line has proven itself potent and flexible, we are all over these guys like stink on a monkey.

of course, this only applies to the good crows, not the bad crows, depends who rocks up.

A win this weekend will clock up Adelaide's 4th "20th win" against an opponent...

Have beaten Sydney (22 victories), Richmond and Melbourne (20 victories) - Currently sit on a 19 wins over Fremantle...

Yeah, if we lose, it won't be much more than 2-3 goals. 50 points is a ridiculous suggestion.

Hey, it's a prediction. I don't rate us and I rate Freo.

I hope everyone else here is right, but obviously I don't otherwise I'd be writing silly shit like "Freo are our bitches" and think that's good reasoning for a win.

I'm sorry, but how is a team poor for 3 quarters and still ends up with what, 13 goals to 3 quarter time, and 19 for the match? I agree we were extremely poor in certain patches, but outside of that, it was ok. North are a good side as well.

by playing excellent for small patches, as I have already explained. ALL UP we played poor for 3 quarters, not 'were played poor for the first 3 quarters'

Not in Adelaide so can't confirm, but its looking like it will be raining Thursday - Saturday.

Going on that weather forecast I am predicting the game will be an absolute boring defensive struggle in front of not many people.

Will be expecting a huge game from Sloane. This is his type of football.

Will be backing up my below predictions with some cash.

Mundy most possessions.
Mayne most goals.
Whatever the under for points scored is (i don't care if its 12).
Crows 1-39.

I'm confident, expectilng another game like the St. Kilda game. tight scrappy 1st half, and we should run over them in the 2nd half..
Crows by 25
JJ to kick 5

  • Freo to get booed as they enter the arena
  • Crowley to go to sloane
  • Freo to make it a boring game to watch
  • Will be an all in fight after one of the freo players knocks out a crows player
  • Mayne to not get a possession in the first half on talia
  • Kerridge to have a quite one
  • Crows will win due to a 15 minute period in which we pile on 7 goals 2 behinds
  • Lynch to take 15 marks, and Jenkins to monster Mcpharlin
  • Rutten to be rested

Apologies for the intrusion, but;

This smarmy little trolling campaigner keeps invading our boards with his aggressive dribble. I'd be very surprised if you don't respect him as much as we do over on the Freo board.

He thinks he is some sort of prediction god and can read the future. Claimed that Lyons would be the sub last week LOL

we also beat them in a trial game a few months back, so weve seen plenty of them.

the crows will get this one, freos record is flattering to their quality, but they have done pretty well recently...

Did Macpharlin play in last years semi? I'm not sure enough freo posters have come on our board and told us yet... should be a close game and I'm not confident. With the home ground advantage crows by 8. Lyons bog.

Mcpharlin didn't play in the final or the round 20 match.
I agree it will be a close game. Wet condition will suit our (Freo's) style of play. The way we have been playing this year has been fantastic, the players really have bought into Ross's game plan.
I expect a close match. Freo by 14.

I posted this on the Freo board, will post it again here.
Ins and Outs for both teams from last years final:

ADELAIDE
INS: Jenkins, Talia, Brown, Otten, Lynch, Kerridge, Lyons, McKernan, Laird
OUTS: Callinan, Doughty, Henderson, Johncock, Shaw, Thompson (Luke), Tippett, Walker, Wright

FREMANTLE
INS: Pearce (Danyle), Crozier, McPharlin, Hannath
OUTS: McPhee, Pavlich, Sandilands, Walters

The whole Walker out/Mcpharlin in is only countered by Pavlich out/Talia in so i agree with you, I don't see this as any advantage

I am not sure your younger ins will cope with the pressure as well so I will say Freo in a close one
