Demographic ?
When an A Grade Club's School doesn't promote Football, how well do you think Monash will be going??

Demographic ?
The Monash situation is fascinating. They were in B Grade a season and a half ago. Now towards the bottom in D Grade, in possibly their worst position in 60 years.
Do they have boarders on campus? if so, they have got a ready made talent pool (+ the students on campus) to possibly pick from.
Local clubs in the area are in the SFNL, surely not competing against them?
And the rats areBut the SFNL will be definitely poaching any talent they spot with $$$$"s

Have a grandson at Monash. A SKOB. A very successful junior career and now with Willy CYs U19.I'm amazed Monash aren't stronger tbh, La Trobe anyone good plays locally for cash and the Razorbacks won't draw on any students as a majority are already aligned to Old boys clubs before they start their tertiary education.

He can't, (and neither can I) understand why neither he nor any of his classmates, many of whom are footballers, have been approached to play for Monash.
That's not to say he would have swapped clubs, but where is the recruiting?
Had a beer with one of there players pre season and he said they really haven't got helpAny Club is only as good as the people running it. Clearly Monash need people with more ability running it, than what they currently must have now.....

Good luck on finding volunteers especially ones that have to put in 10-20+ hours a week. In my mind it is the greatest threat to the survival of football clubs going forward. I'm not picking on Monash by any means, it's applicable to all Clubs.Any Club is only as good as the people running it. Would expect for all Uni footy clubs, “O” week is their prime recruiting pathway when all néw students are fresh & finding their feet. That’s usually when uni clubs of any persuasion try & snaffle newcomers. In so doing using older students to ‘press the flesh’.Any Club is only as good as the people running it. Seaside ... have the CYs had much luck getting kids who went to private schools but live in willy now they are back in Premier B...essentially kids like your GS.Have a grandson at Monash. A SKOB. A very successful junior career and now with Willy CYs U19.

Most Willy kids who go to private schools go to the biggest Catholic one, that’s SKC.Seaside ... have the CYs had much luck getting kids who went to private schools but live in willy now they are back in Premier B...essentially kids like your GS.
Thanks Mr P. Seems to be a lot of uniforms on the train going from Willie to Frankston including Green, Gold and Blue. Most Willy kids who go to private schools go to the biggest Catholic one, that’s SKC.
From what I understand, there’s at least 20 Skevs boys at Willy, including the Tuckers.
Believe Skevs have for some time managed to attract a decent volume of kids from the inner west areas, with the trip to Heyington not so hard. Given SKOBs are Glen Iris based, plenty of eastern located grads fill their ranks. So makes some sense solid number from the west head to CY’s.Most Willy kids who go to private schools go to the biggest Catholic one, that’s SKC.

As is often done, ex-AFL types when they bob up for an appearance(s) at ‘community’ level, get the usual footy media attention for a chit chat…..Back to A Grade. I believe Kennedy from OX has done himself a season ending injury...Can anyone confirm?

So it was for said Kennedy No3, with Andy & Gazey on SEN gushing over his VAFA outings & Old Xavs ra ra footy factory yackety yak.
To his credit Josh K played it down. Did say with pulling up lame in his 2nd game is mostly unlikely to be seen again….this season.
He’s done the disc in his back, again.Yeah, I heard it was his "hammy"...He will be missed.

Blues done? Still a few weeks to play outI was.
Looks highly likely only one train trip to the new University station in 2026. That’s if it is finished by then.
They’ve beaten Collegians and De La(twice) this year. What makes you think they can stay up, especially with Collegians playing De La in round 18?Blues done? Still a few weeks to play out
