One thing that's puzzling to me is some posters desire to throw Curtin into the ruck. Never played ruck in his life.

The exact reasoning for not playing Thilthorpe in the ruck can be used for Curtin. Assuming he hangs around, he's probably our next most valuable piece of any potential premiership push.

I imagine it’s just about getting him involved in and around the footy. Nicks mentioned Curtin as a second ruck option on SEN yesterday so it’s not that outlandish.

Riley has always had injured fingers, ever since he walked into the club. Thing is, he IS a ruck and a better one than our lead ruck.

Curtin isnt and is arguably as important moving forward.

not technique - remember he's playing for the Crows, so our kicks have usually missed him by some distance - usually way over his head, or to the advantage of his opposition, or the fact that our midfield has usually been horrible, and the ball never arrived in the forward line for TT to actually sprain his fingers!

I’d say the easiest way to dislocate fingers would be drill it at the tit.

In a way, but in another way, the other bloke who is doing it now is easily the most valuable player on Adelaide's list.

It might just be worth it for a half-season whilst Murray is out with an fractured ankle just to get Curtin into more dangerous spots around the ground and to get Thilthorpe as far away from ruck as possible.

We've had a bit of luck coming up against teams with some key injuries this year.
Saints and Bombers had quite a few injuries start of the year, Stewart for Geelong, Hogan for GWS, now Schultz, Moore and De Goey.
Aware we've also had a few of our own, but I'll take what we can get.
Still not confident we beat the Pies at the MCG, would love to be proven wrong.
