Review R16: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly vs. Richmond Tigers

Curtin a clear BOG for us, closely trailed by Thilthorpe. Curtin dominating and Cumming doing nothing still shows we don't know how to use both wingmen, everything runs through one while the other has to do a lot of defensive watching. Milera's drive from half-back was probably the best he's done this year, but his defensive work was generally garbage (3 pressure acts).

Back 6 overall was solid again, Butts got in Lynch's head, Keane and Worrell both mopped up plenty.

Won't bother talking about Smith and Murphy since nearly everyone bar our senior coach can see that.

Smith's body is cooked as he has shown last year, he can't play an entire game and the risk of playing him as the sub is there's an early injury.

Good: win, percentage boost, nil injuries. Filthy with 5 goals, Michalanney with 3 goals doing a tagging job up forward. Normally, this type of role would be given to Keays, but Max was fantastic. Curtin BOG and the entire backline were fantastic.

Bad: Why was Murphy playing in the midfield and at CBAs? Rachele getting subbed when he kicked 2.2. ANB and Cummings were well below average. I actually though ANB should've been subbed.

Ugly: Lynch's hit on Butts. Could've been so much worse. Thankfully Butts was okay.

Really happy with that. Wanted a 10 goal win and got it. Max going forward was good to find out we have some options to move magnets if shit hits the fan.

And Curtin's game. Wowee. Sure it was against 17th, but that is going to be huge for his mindset. He looked today like someone who's played 100 games. He wasn't just there, he looked like he wanted to dominate and he did.

Curtin is going to be a top 10 player in the comp down the track. We won the lotto getting in a position to draft him.

Max is of the highest quality...absolute A grade. Thilthrorpe was toohard to stop and Worrell has AA written all over him this season

The Good

-Curtin - GTFO - This kid is a star. One of the most exciting prospects I have seen at the club for two decades. Will be a top 10 player in this competition for a decade.

-Worrell - Maynard, Viska, Thorney, Bassett etc - one of the most courageous players I have seen in a Crows guernsey. AA contender, surely.

-Keane - I was a critic, but I was wrong.

-RT - Gun. You don't risk your number 1 player in the ruck.

-Butts - destroyed Lynch.

-Milera - had one ugly moment but building nicely.

-Michalanney - Coaching masterstroke. Tough kid.

The Ugly

-Rankine as a midfielder. He's a match winner in the forward line but not a midfielder.

-Murphy in the midfield - lol - back to the bad old days. We have Draper, Taylor, Dowling, Edwards playing SANFL yet we continue to play this skill less, low football IQ embarrassing hack.

Not only did Nicks selected Murphy, he subbed him for Rachele who was playing well and then put Murphy in the centre and what a surprise that he did shit all.

Feels bad to say it but I'm not sure whether a rusty Muz would outperform Butts atm. Cherry ripe Muz is a better player but last time he returned from injury, his form was lukewarm.

I didn't write one of these but I need to fess up that I was questioning the Curtin drafting earlier in the year when he was only getting 10 disposals every week, but he has certainly turned it around and boy what an exciting prospect he's becoming
