Mine was 98 and I'm an old fart.

U ok?

Yea all good, suffered from heart failure last year, still getting over it , its come back down now

We average 49.4 against, AFL average is 51.5, so just above average. Geelong are just behind us at 49.2.
Ah, yeah I figured this was an outlier. It did seem unusual. What do you attribute this mini slump too? Maybe the end of a long season? I just hope you don't stumble and lose to North. After nearly losing to us you should guard against it. I guess you'll finish top 2 anyway, but finish 1st you'll likely play GC or Collingwood at home against. 2nd its more likely Geelong or Brisbane.

Honestly, it's just cathartic that we escaped a game against Collingwood for once, instead of the other way around where we play very well, yet they bullshit a win.

If you want to really treat yourselves with a completely deluded fan base, go roll into the Collingwood game autopsy thread. The umps tried to walk them home in the first half and they are bleating that we got the dream ride from them...what on earth were they watching bwahahah..
After qtr time frees were something like 17-7 our way. Cry more though

71 inside 50s but most of them we turned to a contest. High hacks to a pack, scramble hack out, scramble hack back in.

I watched Murphy tonight, he was on Josh Daicos and went with him everywhere. Did pretty well, but far from spectacular and J Daicos didn’t dominate at least. I’d sacrifice Murphy to stop their best half back any day.

It was a really tough game. A dour contest where Moore sat out the back and we just intercepted, turned it over and repeat.

Collingwood kicked 3 goals after quarter time. One from the dead pocket- 30% chance and 2 from 45M with 50% chance. 47 inside 50s after Q1 for 3goals, our defence is elite.

Theory
Did we keep our powder dry to a degree? Let Nick Daicos run free, whereas if we come up against them in September he'll be having someone hang off him every second?

We've done this a few times this year if I recall. Let the oppos best player run free and challenge them to beat us on their own.

If we do a shut down job, it's usually on a half back flanker.

Great .

They can all (players, Coaches, supporters, sponsors) --- ALL --- eat a bucket of crispy-skin deep-fried dicks.

I agree

I desperately want us to have a successful period not just for us, but to also assign to them to being an afterthought in SA football.

All the crap about them lying to players about our club etc (let's not kid ourselves we know exactly which club it is) they deserve nothing but contempt.

Pies set up very well behind the ball, especially Cameron and Frampron who I thought did a great job for them and we never really evened up the extra number the Pies left behind.

At times there was both of them and Moore on one Crows defender down the field. I think we had opportunities for I50's, but let the Pies intercept at half forward and set themselves up. Big credit to our backline to stand up to that level of pressure.

Yeah it was frustrating how you struggled to get past the centre square. You let their defenders push back and gobble those falls up. Maybe more handballing to break those lines was the answer. Maybe that was coaching. I hope Nicks can make the needed adjustments if you face them again. Or else this game may have been for little.
