Rankine does speak with a lisp so there is a chance it's a misunderstanding, but it depends if whatever was said was a once off. I mean if it happened to me if probably ask what did you just say?? To see if it was in fact what I heard.

There are a lot of delays which have been added to the game - such as video reviewing of scores and waiting for ruckmen to arrive for ruck contests around the ground. These delays have nothing to do with time wasting, but they have extended the running time for most games - which is why Ch7 have asked for their games to start earlier than they did in previous years. Time wasting may be just a few seconds here and there, but the effect is to compound what is already a problem for the AFL.

If you watch any game of AFL football, 99% of the quick handball are throws. Outright throws. The commentors looked foolish because they focused on the few times the Crows got caught when its a mathematical certainty Pies players did it just as often.

Interesting that is exactly what Lingy was saying on ABC Sport yesterday, he said “every club does it, lets not just say Adelaide”.
