Peatling - Best game for the club and showed moments of why he was hotly chased by 6 clubs
Curtin - A Dawson lite game today, kicking goals, marks in defence/wing and applying great pressure
Soligo - Started the year strongly, going at 28 disposals and a goal a game, some elite kicks
Rankine - 30 disposals, 8 clearances and some of the cleanest passes you'll see in the comp
TT - Just a beast, just as dangerous as a mid as he is a forward
Tex - Shaky start but great from the second qtr onwards
Worrell - Might be a sneaky AA chance so good to see him starting to truly shine
Hinge - Such a pivotal part of our defensive structures and rebounding

Quieter games from Dawson and especially Crouch but well accounted for by Soligo, Rankine and Peatling, big step forward for our future.
Matty only had 62% time on ground today not sure why, probably giving Rankine 83% and Soligo 81% more time in there.
Jordan Dawson the most with 86%

Sholl struggled because our inside midfield struggled to get the ball effectively to the outside. Also affected Cumming and Neal-Bullen

Rankine, Soligo and Peatling the pick of the mids. Dawson was down and Crouch very poor.
Sure, if the ball isn't coming to you there's only so much you can do from an offensive perspective, but that should be even more of a reason to focus on your defense. You're defending has nothing to do with not being fed the ball.

This will hurt us in finals where there's no easy ball and hotly contested.

The kind of performance I was looking for. We weren't playing too crash hot but never lost control of that game.

He’s honestly been pretty good so far this year. Broke even with probably the form ruck of the comp. You’d take that every day of the week
ROB was very good today. Xman bullied the ruckman of the decade last week and ROB at worst broke even with X today, if not ROB slightly ahead.

Ugly: Milera - if you don't want to do the hard stuff, Nank has to play. He was like a spectator today.
He's like a spectator every week.
I've been saying this for a while. He doesn't defend, he doesn't put his body on the line, he doesn't use his pace and he rarely uses his kicking skills to their maximum.

He's being picked purely on reputation. A reputation that is about 4 years old.

Murray was a pretty big out I think. Definitely vulnerable in defence and there are other teams who might expose that more. Borlase just doesn't look like an AFL player even if we was okay on Darling, and Keane was pretty average.

Good win though, thought Hinge, Laird and Peatling were particularly impressive. Forward line continues to be incredibly dangerous even short Rachele, and Curtin had easily his best game and had a notable hand in the win.

Thilthorpe was outrageously good aside from one moment where he should have definitely taken a set shot and tried to pass to Keays instead.

The class we have through the middle of the ground is really impressive too, there were multiple moments today where guys like Rankine and Soligo took a non-obvious option and nailed it to set up a scoring opportunity, where a safer option would have just resulted in a stoppage. Probably the biggest difference from previous years.
Borlase played on Zhuurhar and kept him very quiet. Darling was playing a more loose role as he rucked around the ground a bit.

The goal Tex kicked from Ruck, Southern End was clever.

Norf Ruck did not want to engage physically. Instead looked to want to come in late and tap without contact

Tex engages as the ball is in the hit box. Taking that advantage away. Outbodies and wins posession.

It was smart Footy.
