I think we can all accept we're not beating the best teams with that performance. And that nicks isn't likely to ever lead us to a flag.
But that was a game after qtr time that I kept expecting us to lose given most of our good players were shite their mids were on top (and umps killing momentum).
I'm just happy that we won a game where it looked like we'd typically lose it.

The assist to Rachele at half time then the 2 goals in a row to give us the winning margin

Good:
Beating the pear.
TT - 5 Contest Marks. Pear - 6 contested marks. He is our best player and if he fires we can beat anyone. Still has improvement in him.
Forward line is the best in the league. So damn efficient.
We are 6-3. One game and 4% away from top spot on the ladder and a very real possibility of being 2 games clear of 9th.
We have only played one of the bottom 5 sides so far this year and have the 3rd best percentage.
Bad:
Soligo - what happened to him after the first month. Is it injury? Is it other teams figuring him out? Is Peatling taking over as the better option?
Finlayson 3 goals. What a muppet that bloke is. Face you want to punch.
Ugly:
Nicks - Butters, slowing the game down in the 4th, Not putting Tilly behind the ball
This boards opinion of Cumming. Hasn't performed anywhere close to what we are paying him to do. Need to swap him with Milera and get him across HB ASAP.

To be honest this is probably the mix I'd want to be at most of our CBAs. Tonight I would have thrown Dawson back more though cos of the Bergman tag. See what port did in response. Maybe Rankine more CBAs to get him involved?
We shouldn’t have been in that position at all. Extremely frustrating how we nearly lost. Attacking is your best form of defence. I’ll absolutely take the win. Positive is that we’re a game clear in fifth at the moment

Ridiculous crumb and reflex handball to TT that then handballed to Fog to snap a classy goal , then kicks 2 goals in next 8 mins to give us the key to winning game

Correct. Lots of footy to go, but hard to be too upset at being 6-3. I think everyone on this board would have jumped at the chance to be where we are at.
If by some miracle we beat Collingwood this week, it will be our biggest win since the 2017 prelim.
If we win that - there is every chance we could be sitting top 2 after Round 11.
Mate we don’t win showdowns without Rankine

Rankine was basically equivalent to JHF tonight
Both got the ball less than they usually do, but also impacted greatly with minimal touches

What a game from him. Led both teams with R50's and Metres gained. Fierce in the contest and used it really well tonight.
Him and Keane really compliment each other.
At the beginning of the season - I had it between Keane and Butts for that 2nd tall. Keane has far surpassed him. Butts is the perfect replacement for Murray.
