Stefan Martin from Melbourne would be a good trade option. Major versatility, depending on what happens with our Rucks. Who knows, third time lucky trading with Melbourne.

Nuh, refuse to deal with them again.

Watch us trade for Cale Morton and Matthew Bate!

It would not surprise if there was some interest in Cale Morton as both Ratten & Hughes were quite keen on him in the 07 draft when we acquired Judd giving away our pick 3 in that draft.

has been someone i've watched a bit. but we missed the boat, i wanted him last year but was told he'd be fringe ;)
did jobs on jonathon brown and other power forwards, then went missing from the game (and people's minds) with injuries... tried in the ruck unsuccessfully last year before really taking to it this year.

worth a look but might take an arm or leg :(

If we trade with Melbourne again for a hack like Johnson - I will organise a Ba'athist like insurgency on all present at Trade Week and declare war on the AFL.

That we showed interest in Morton around draft time would be largely irrelevant now.

Morton may well have been a very talented junior footballer, but he has not been able to translate that to performance in the big league.

Soft as hell, disinterested and his skills have deteriorated to a degree.

I'd be amazed if anyone at the club considered him a worthy trade target. Very ordinary footballer.

A bit off topic maybe but we still weren't going to pick him.

Emma Quayle stated in her book (through Hughes I think - don't quote me on that) that Carlton would have taken Palmer if they had kept the pick.

I don't really analyse other clubs lists but whats 'available' in defensive KPPs who are fringe players at Collingwood, Hawthorn and Geelong or even Essendon ??
Why do we need fringe third tall defenders from other clubs?

We should go after ruck/forwards like the aforementioned McKernan.

Or a fringe inside mid such as Koby Stevens who is Victorian.

Bower for Stevens?

WC wouldn't move Sheppard on, yet he'd be a better get than Clarke.

blues should try and get key position players, who r 190+cm and can play

Definitely disagree.

At 21 years of age i'd imagine there would be many clubs interested in his services. Being that in between height of 190-192 ish (not mid not kp), battling a few injuries, confidence issues, there is any number of reasons why he hasn't come on yet. Only 2 years ago he was coming along quite well, since then got those few injuries and has spiralled a bit. Not the sort of player i would go writing off just yet.

Would definitely be interested because has the right tools to bring something special to some team.

The issue is not that he hasn't come on yet.

The issue is that he's a dumb footballer, has a shithouse attitude, is incredibly soft and his skills turn to shit under the slightest hint of pressure.

You can improve the latter flaw, but the first three, when combined, don't bode well for anyone that wants to forge a long-term career in the top flight.

I'd be disgusted if we went anywhere near him.

Palmer was good (although a little wasteful by foot) pre knee. But I think that the injury will limit him. Would of been a fine pick up

Would take Bate for a 3rd or 4th rounder.

Was a very promising CHF, with great hands, in 2010. Must've ran over Bailey's dog in the off season.

Never got a look in this year, in a god awful team.

Value would have dropped significantly, as will definitely try orchestrate a trade.

Dick Pratts mantra was don't go for the best available - go for the best.

Don't know what others think but Nick Reiwoldt looked a broken man on Friday night against the Pies.

Let's take a dip at him - a cool $1M a year should do it !! :D:D

On a more serious note, what about Sam Gilbert ??

(apologies if mentioned earlier).
