Ive also heard there is some type of scaling system with Uni exams that may well help me thankfully.
Seems most found it hard, so I reckon some scaling will go into the marks. Might even find myself with a credit!Law ones are definitely done on a bell curve.
Been having that problem for a while.why do department stores only go up to sock sizes 11-13
dont they know some people out there have a foot size of 15
WOW! That does instill a lot more confidence Stabby! My fiancee took an honours-level maths exam at Adelaide Uni a few years back where she only even attempted to finish two of the five questions given, and just made cursory starts in the other three.
After scaling she ended up with an 86.
Been there, done that. Got 75 for a 2nd year physics (optics) exam.My fiancee took an honours-level maths exam at Adelaide Uni a few years back where she only even attempted to finish two of the five questions given, and just made cursory starts in the other three.
After scaling she ended up with an 86.
I LOVE Foxtel's new blue colour scheme!!
Once in third year Engineering I did an exam I thought was going to be easy - it was 3 questions long but after I finished the first I realised I was taking way too long. For the remainder of the exam I was a frenzied mess just trying to power through as much of the exam as possible before I ran out of time about halfway through the third question.
When I walked out a friend asked "so, which of the three questions did you do?" and I nearly cried.
O dear! Well our lecturer has given us a pre warning to the format, so should be alright. But I will read the front page just in case!A friend of mine did that yesterday but in reverse.
He had 3 questions to answer but didn’t read the front page and assumed it was one of three, he only answered one.
He will either have a fail or a resubmit on his hands.
I walked out of the exam thinking I couldn't have got more than 50% if I'd had a week to do it, sitting at home with the textbooks open in front of me. If I'd scored 100% for everything I'd done I couldn't have scored more than 30%. My one (big) consolation was that I knew everyone else was in the same boat - I was in the top third of the class, so if I couldn't do it then I knew the bulk of the rest would have done just as badly (the exception being those freaks who got 100 in year 12).
As far as I can determine, the scoring system was 20 marks for turning up + raw score * 2.

100% agree. And why do we have to pay extra for the HD channels? Surely if we have a HD TV, that would be enough. It's not like we don't pay shit loads already for the service FFS!New movies is good.
MTV to **** off away from music is good.
Comedy changing channels = **** you
What they need is fox footy back.
Yep there sure is (depending on the department). In the first semester for statistics, I got about 40% for the assignments (weighted at 15% overall) and absolutely flunked the exam (truth be told it was an absolute **** of an exam) and walked out sure I wouldn't even get a supp. The rest of the class felt the same way, but come results time, pretty much everyone passed - I got exactly 50% much to my amazement. What an absolute shitter of a Chem exam today!I think I've JUST done enough to pass, but its gonna be way too close for my liking! Ive also heard there is some type of scaling system with Uni exams that may well help me thankfully.
