I was watching the Kyrgios/Lopez match early this morning. As K prepared to serve at match point, the umpire called a code violation against K for taking too long to serve. First time violation for the entire match. Now THAT is an umpire officiating!

To be fair K said later that the umpire had warned him earlier that he was getting close to a time violation but match point ffs?

It is 100 years today since one if the most abysmal days in military history, the Battle of the Somme.
Probably one of the most pointless wars of all times for most concerned that only prompted a bigger calamity 20 odd years later.
Tautological descriptions there Gaso.

All battles, all war pointless and abysmal.

I'm not sure there is another nation on Earth, apart from maybe the English, that do self-deprecation as well as us.
While I'm not advocating US-style jingoism, it'd be good if we had a bit more pride insofar as it lead to greater active participation in making us a decent country instead of the apathy we have.

Her response when asked if she was Xenophonobic.

Well just sitting through a 30 minute interview on Abc24 and if that's what Australia is going to become its time to pack up the shop.

But if you like 1950's Australia you will love it.

Bag full of contradictions...is our Pauline

Yep, time to go to war against Qld. (But they'd win, time and time again.)

No.

I think where there are innocent people being annihilated (executed...mass killings...violence etc) then there is a moral obligation to intervene with force.

I appreciate what you are saying. But ... this shit happens in a lot of places. If we spent our lives righting every wrong in the world we'd become bloodthirsty monsters ourselves. You're right about the Somme tho. My Nan's brother died at Pozieres. It'll be 100 years to the day in a few weeks. Who knows what this country would have become if we hadn't fought in WW1. We lost so much more than we gained.

Nemo says no.

Its a SoO joke.

The day I lost my brother, my son signed up for softball. Was actually at the registration day when I heard. He signed up because I told him to get of his 15 yr old ****en arse and play a ****en sport.

Just recieved an email stating he's in the Vic under 17's squad!! Dunno but theres something in that:)

FYI Vic must be shit at softball :p

What are you studying and at what university?
Aviation at swinburne althought the management stream because i want to get into ATC rather than piloting. I did well in all of my credit subjects but missed a 2 hour forum session that was rather innocuous. Seemingly to pass the unit i needed to attend that session so now i can't finish the course. It's complete bullshit because it was just a couple of lecturers talking about futuristic airports but its a mandatory thing to attend. I just don't see why it is that important.
