And Hawks the best team in the comp...I know how this ends
Go Away GIF

Nah I like us against the Hawks. The media love the hawks, but I think we have more talent across the park.

Bolton - Murph - Dudley - Freddy gives us a nice fleet of smalls up front.

Chappy is developing nicely and still has a way to go until he gets close to his ceiling.

I think the Hawks and GC will be the biggest threats in coming years. GWS will be a threat due to sheer talent and Brisbane will challenge this year and then fade a for a couple of seasons.

People need to lay off Worner a little bit, people treat him like he's delist material when he's played 11 games currently, you really think you can have an accurate sample size of a player when he's barely played AFL?

It's not like he's bad at WAFL level either, he was arguably our best player at Peel Thunder last year behind Erasmus. He's in the same boat as Erasmus, he needs consistency. He's not Best 23 currently, but he's absolutely not bad depth to have in defence.
I was critical of him last week as he burnt the ball badly a couple of times. He was a lot better this week.

If we play like we did on the weekend, minus the injuries then yes we can challenge anyone. I'd kick Omeara out of the midfield, put Jackson there and have big Darcy rucking. Then we're rocking.

Jackson could be an absolute wildcard as a mid. The marking power he would add combined with Darcy would be ridiculous.

I just want to see a match up with the Hawks where the umps put the whistle away and we get to see who the real best team is

A fully fit Fyfe coming in to this side off a block of WAFL and managed minutes to get him cherry ripe could be very dangerous.

He doesn’t have to be the Fyfe of old, just use his vision and smarts to free up others and it will be damaging.

Yep win contests and release others. The occasional contested mark and he is a weapon that our runners can exploit.

This is the exciting part, Buckley mentioned it in the Monday Means Test, I only watched the Freo segment. He said something like the fifteen minutes where they put on 6 goals 3 would be scary for any opposition watching as they did it from all areas of the ground. turnover, centre square and from a point kick in.

I can't wait to see what we can do with two of those bursts in a game.

Whately misquoting JL in that clip. He did not say they don't want to play like that, of course Freo want to play like that. JL was talking about playing the fourth quarter the right way. I think that burst was absolutely brilliant, you can't always just all out attack, Buckley is right, it's about perceiving exactly when to flick the switch too all out attack. Picking that moment is the key to winning AFL.

Agree - Whately annoys me with his slant with certain teams at times.

And we won't be able to play that way at all times given there is an opposition who are trying to stop it, why can't they acknowledge that?

I am looking forward to bursts like that being a much more regular thing as this team gets confidence and more cohesion with Bolton in the team.

Josh Treacy has been sensational so far. He is the real deal. I feel like for the first time in ages we have actual dangerous forward line. Please keep this group together JLO.
Hard to believe was a rookie 18 months ago. His development into a premier KPF has been staggering.

To be honest fellas, I just switch off when Whately says anything. He just has that sneering; obnoxious, sycophantic nature about him that I generally....abhor. When he was teamed with Slobbo, it was like finding 2 villainous cartoon characters to place together, like something from a kitsch '60s Batman show. Horrible commentators.

I don't mind Buckley though, at least he uses decent articulation, stats and facts to summarise his thoughts and very rarely resorts to unnecessary emotional outbursts (unlike most of us and members of this website :tearsofjoy:) & IS authentic, unlike the aforementioned weasels.

I very rarely watch ANY of these things, but Posh's statement drove my curiosity.
