No Bake Caramel Cheesecake
Nope just something nice
Little Sis has recommended a no bake cheesecake. Baked cheesecakes 'you've got to get the timing right or your stuffed'.
The basic recipe can be found here http://www.mouthsofmums.com.au/recipe/no-bake-caramel-cheesecake/

The undermentioned is inclusive of all her tips and tricks which I've highlighted in red:p:thumbsu:

* Use a springform cake tin if you can (highly recommended)

No Bake Caramel Cheesecake (serves 12)

Ingredients
125g Plain biscuits crushed *use Arnotts butternut cookies
60g unsalted butter
3tsp Gelatine
3table sp Hot Water
1 can Nestle Caramel Top'N' Fill
300mls Cream
50g Dark chocolate
250g Cream Cheese take out of fridge 30min before

Method:
  1. Combine biscuit crumbs and the butter, press into base of 23cm flan pan, refrigerate until firm. Lightly grease sides of springform tin and line with baking paper (Sides only)
  2. Using an electric beater; beat cream cheese until smooth. Add 3/4 of the Nestle Caramel Top N Fill, add cream, beat until smooth.
  3. Dissolve gelatine in hot water. Beat gelatine into cheesecake mixture.Steps 2 & 3 have been swapped around from original recipe. If you do the gelatin at #2 it can be difficult to mix into cheesecake mixture
  4. Spoon mixture evenly over crumb crust.
  5. Whisk remaining caramel to a smooth consistency and spoon over the cheesecake. use an electric beater and beat until caramel is light in colour
  6. Melt the chocolate and swirl over the cheesecake. When melting the chocolate you can use microwave 30 seconds first then stir. Then in 10 second bursts stirring between each until chocolate is smooth.
  7. Use a teaspoon to swirl chocolate over the cheesecake
  8. You can add some chopped pecans to garnish
  9. Refrigerate until set.
Enjoy!!

Sounds lovely Ticky!
Her cheesecakes are amazing.
She bakes this triple chocolate one that gets requested by everyone for bbqs and such. I don't like chocolate as a main ingredient in cakes etc but that one I can definitely go a slice. She makes a blueberry one for my birthday. Yum.

I think my favourites are the "ordinary" type. A dense baked cheesecake or an uncooked cheesecake maybe with a fruity glaze. Yummm!

Okay, so if the day after tomorrow was my last day on earth, tomorrow I would eat 3 courses comprising:

Entree: Seafood cocktail of fresh scallops, lobster/cray and prawns

Main: Perfectly medium rare steak with creamy mash and sautéed veg

Dessert: Moist Sticky date pudding with plenty of butterscotch sauce, lashings of double cream and a generous dollop of good quality ice cream.

Hey Ticky, this is my raised vegie garden. I will plant some passionfruit, spray my weeds again and put some shell grit on the ground, plus I've got buoys and rope and stuff to make a bit of a feature of it. What I like though is that it's free :)

Nice! Such a cool idea using the boat. If you have cockatoos out your way then your passionfruit will be fair game, they'll take the top off like you do a hard boiled egg and go to town.

I have lorikeets, Port Lincoln parrots, about a bazillion galahs and an existing passionfruit that's been producing for the past 3 years. They haven't touched it. Then again, they're not urbanised like your guys would be. I've had a rescued galah for 10 years - I'll see if he likes it. His favourite by a mile is chilli

Seriously? Chilli?Hah!
We never had any issues with other parrots. Only the sulphur crested cockatoos.

Loves them! I had his portrait painted and had to include chillis.
Those sulphur cresteds are too clever for their own good!

Slow cooked lamb rogan josh been on for an hr or so now.........

*tummy grumbles*
So what you having with your rogan josh GTG?
I'm having curry tonight too - chicken Madras - made last night but didn't get to eat it. Mine's just made with a shop bought paste, but pretty tasty nonetheless.

I've set out a few little bowls of bits - yoghurt, tomato/cucumber/chilli/mint & mango chutney with a shop bought naan. Had to go the easy route due to being on call....until tonight...

Yay, it's Friday!!!...

...oh, hang on, it's just my Friday
