If that is true ,and I have no reason to doubt you , then that is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard on a football ground. If anyone has a family member with a terminal illness they may understand. A young man losing his mother, I can understand his tears and not knowing how to respond. My son is in a similar position, same age . But he isn't being told by a man 10 years older he hopes his mother dies. He has all the love and support from family and extended family and friends, like we all would hope. Sorry, football forum, but touched home.

Apart from Lachie Weller, have any players explicitly requested to be traded to the Gold Coast? It also seems a tiny minority (eg Swallow) have stayed there for their entire career.

They've done well recently with Miller, King, Anderson Lukocious, Rowell etc wanting to stay. By the sounds of it Rankine was all but signed too before the Crows came in at the last minute with a huge offer.

That is a LOT of money for a guy averaging 12 disposals and 1.2 goals a game for his career.

Even on 2022 figures (unsurprisingly his best season - and no doubt there is improvement to come) he's at 13.44 disposals a game and 1.6 goals per game.
