The reason that some Tigers come on here is because some of us find it mildly amusing that you're the ones whinging. Your heads would explode if the AFL treated you like Richmond.
Richmond's recent premierships are amongst the hardest earned in the entire history of our game. Any disputing that fact is just delusional denial of the demonstrably obvious.

If you haven't been given a day off, you really should just take a day off and hopefully some time away will cultivate some self awareness.

AFL is a derivative of a state league (VFL). No Victorian team's flags are as hard won as any non-Victorian team simply due to the challenges involved in playing interstate 10 times per season opposed to 5 and many Melbourne teams having significantly more games at the MCG than non-Vitorian teams and the advantage that ensues in a Grand Final when the Grand Final is played there.

I get it, Richmond was banished to the doldrums for 35 years and after being the joke of the AFL and having everyone laugh at your expense, Tigers are out to even the score with rival clubs.

Paddy McCartin ruled out of 2020 due to his concussion issues.

Shame to see, was the number 1 pick in 2014 and can't get any career continuity
Lucky for St Kilda it was a weak draft and they didn’t miss out on much. Looked stupid last year with Brayshaw and Petracca having good seasons, but they’re nothing special.

Only De Goey looks like a true gun but he was never really in first pick contention.

Liked to help you feel validated.
I see now that it's all just so unfair.

Well there you go then. Dry your eyes.

Unlike some, we've never had to wait 30 years for a flag and spent decades in between being the laughing stocks of the competition.

I just had a look at your post history. You seem to be in multiple threads with the same arguments trying to debunk the idea that AFL is a Vic-centric competition, with a particular emphasis on West Coast. Even saying that West Coast somehow have an advantage in the AFL?

What's that about?

Daddy was a West Coast supporter when he went for cigarettes one night and never came back.

It's true that Richmond aren't gifted finals via the biggest home ground advantage in the AFL. Which is why success for us is so much more meaningful than success for you. Ours is earned.

Anyway, looks like I've got a new disciple. Welcome aboard. Your salt is appreciated.

I'm not salty at all. I was on the Richmond board the other day. Tiger's fans are generally pretty good value.

Although one thing I will say is that they do tend to get very upset when Victorian-centric nature of AFL is brought up (probably as they feel it questions the merit of their flags). Case in point is you coming on our board to let us know our flags are somehow unfairly earned (I think that they call that projection).

The truth is that on a Grand Final we will never have home ground advantage. Collingwood, Hawthorn and Richmond who have all played Grand Finals on their home ground against interstate teams just in the last 8 years. In order to win a flag, we have to either beat a team on their home deck, or play against a team on a neutral venue. That is what earned success looks like.

Good thing for us we have been pretty good at that over the years and have earned 4 flags from 7 Grand Finals.

I see you have that little symbol under your name.
Is it really aligning with Potter, or is it of a naked man bending over in a tent?

I see “Tigers are actually hard done by and 17 home games a year is difficult because sometimes some Carlton fans show up” is back on the agenda.

Can we please keep this thread strictly on the topic of historic newspaper clippings?

I can’t work out if this is satire this early in the morning.

Richmond were very hard done by, I heard sometimes they had to wait for a whole second light change before they could walk to their away games at the MCG.

Essendon fans are pretty ordinary at the best of times. A strange blend of entitlement, arrogance and WADA sized chip on the shoulder.

Some still think there will be some magic evidence that will over turn their ban and Jobe will get his Brownlow back

Sandilands wanted a 2 year deal to move across to Essendon.

I get it's a big move for him as he's settled in Perth, but he's soon to be 37 and played 32 games over the last 4 seasons. Essendon aren't known for their due diligence but even they would be dumb to do that.

Woosha obviously thinks that time in WA stands still whilst he's not here.
