Happy to correct you.
Why was it disbanded then, bored? Wanted to sack a few hundred footballers?

We will see how they feel when they steal the cream of players and place them on non AFL reserves lists.

No one would fund it.
If this got up, my main hope as far as North is concerned would be that we don't end up with our reserves playing out of Hobart.

As compared to half in Ballarat and half in Werribee?
What are you talking about, clubs funded it. You are on some Benny-grade crack. Back then players were paid stuff all and they only played in Melbourne or Geelong so by funding you mean renting a bus.

The WA and SA clubs would want in but would their controlling leagues be willing to pay the cost - and Port cannot afford it at this time.
What do you mean can't afford it? We already are a two team club and if we had more of our AFL listed players at the Magpie it would probably save us money if we don't have to pay travel costs.
The question with Port is if there is a reserves comp what happens to the Magpies side? Will it still have to be in the SANFL or will it leave and be the Power reserve side in a reserves competition. What there wont be is a PAFC AFL, PAFC AFL Reserves and PAFC SANFL Magpies team. This will be a massive shit sandwich for the SANFL and potentially for PAFC.
If we only have the AFL side and a reserve side that is essentially the SANFL Magpies we are pretty much already good to go, all we need to do is move our players at the other SANFL clubs over to the Magpies.
Add it to the tab then, you should know coming from Adelaide that if Port pushes an agenda of wanting something, regardless of $$ we usually get what we want in the end. Many examples of this and there will be many more. Its probably part of why you hate us so much. That makes me glad too.

AFL control the VFL and they wouldn't cop a Victorian breakaway comp.

With what money?

Am i the only one that would freaking love PAFC leaving the SANFL???What do you mean can't afford it? We already are a two team club and if we had more of our AFL listed players at the Magpie it would probably save us money if we don't have to pay travel costs.
