Great to see that some football people from outside the club have been involved with the review. Parko has been sounded out before by other clubs and this seems to have been benificial for those clubs.
The player review must be progressing well and we will find out more around trade time.
Coaching: This is still ongoing. Maybe some changes to our staff will be needed, yes it would be great to have a Carey or SOS onboard but don't both have other coaching committments. My suggestion would be to have Terry Daniher on board. Has shown his ability to develop young and more mature players, look at the Collingwood, St Kilda and Carlton forwards that have improved under his tutition..
Leadeship: This is an area we have some great people just need to ensure we have the right people put their hands up. Our Captain needs to be able to lead both on the field and be the face of the club. J Bartel, G Ablett long-term options. Short term options. S King, T Harley, P Chapman,
Bartel and GAJ are both elite players and have a great image for TV to promote the club
Game Winners: yes we have a few GAJ, SJ, P Chapman, Otto
Football Manager G Davidson: Is this an area we can improve on? Has been good but lets be sure we are getting the best from the area.
Recruiting Manager G Wells: Has done well does he need more support in his role.
Fitness/Conditioning: We know this is a major concern so one woudle expect the club to address.
Future: with additional support from the scouting people maybe some very promising juniors (16-17yo)from the falcons area maybe invite to train and see what the future holds. Look for tall mobile running players that have good skills. Only need to invite once or twice to a training session, probably preseason session. This may allow the club to view some playes before they start at the falcons. Early detection program.
In the end some player changes and some small coaching changes and a game plan revised to showcase the best of the club.
