Personally, I would have Junior Rioli in the team because he has been an amazing small forward and not a midfielder who has occasionally played in the forward line. Rioli's unbelievable talent should be recognised with AA selection. As I see it there would be three talls with a combo of Fevola, Franklin and another CHF with a medium lead-up forward of possibly R.Murphy, O'keefe... Which leaves two crumbing type players who can kick goals in the pocket or at half forward. What do u reckon?

I say no.

A good first year, but not AA worthy. AA isn't there to recognise talent, it recognises performance.

Steve Johnson, Paul Medhurst and Jason Porpyizia should be the 3 smalls selected. Murphy and Motlop unlucky.

Why do no one rate stephan milne?? he has kicked 7 goals twice this year n finished with 54 in h&a does the job. great player

No.

He'll no doubt be mentioned in discussions over the 40man squad they announce, but in terms of the 22, there are two many names ahead of him.

Keeping in mind they usually name 3 KPF, a midfielder and a medium forward, you would think Franklin (CHF), Fevola (FF), and ? (Roughead?/Brown/Bradshaw/Pavlich/?) will get named.

S.Johnson, O'Keefe, R.Murphy for the medium slot, and then the other two, Medhurst and Milne are all probably ahead of him.

Take nothing away from his debut season though, he's clearly one of the most talented players to come through in recent history, and is allready arguably our most talented player for his ability to take on and beat multiple opponents, superintelligent clean disposal and just creating the play.

He is good enough, but wont, because AA, like Rising Star and Brownlow is based highly on Statistic, and rioli does get as much of the pill as others to get the nod. it is a sad case, but its true.

Do people have shit for brains?

How the hell is he ahead of Leon Davis, Medhurst, S.Johnson, Chapman, Brad Johnson etc.

Wouldnt make the 5th AA side.

one thing none of them have, forward pressure. That is why he is being noticed. his tackling is second to none in the comp. If he didnt have this asset, i dont think even Hawks fans would notice him.

Davis is on par with Rioli in terms of tackles for the year. Had the most tackles inside attacking 50 last year aswell. I'm sorry but Rioli isn't close to AA.

Varcoe shits all over Rioli in the tackling stakes and kicks just as many goals, Alwyn Davey is a better tackler as well.

I voted No. Not because he isn't good enough, but because he hasn't been good enough this year.

An exceptional debut season no doubt, but there have still been MANY more damaging small forwards this season and only 1, possibly 2, will get AA. Thomas (Nth), Campbell (Nth), Medhurst (Coll), Milne (StK) to name just 4.
