All in all, we did a lot of things great offensively. The consistently poor part from our game all day was the ball skills and complete inability to defend their transition. It was training drill stuff.

Fun game.
Good to end without any controversy.

Great fight shown, bit more weight and running ability into the group will go a long way.

That will be a Friday or Saturday night game next year.

Stringer was incredible.
If we can get this forward line sorted we will be competitive.

Their both rubbish wherever they play, Stewart literally gave them 2 goals and Francis was a laughing stock up forward.
Stewart is a solid if unspectacular forward. He isn't a defender
Francis is a good defender. He isn't a forward.

Pretty entertaining second half, they fully capitalised on our defensive side turnovers and had the poise, class to punish us with a more efficient forward line.

Walla, Perkins and Francis in particular had their colours lowered. Pleasing that we hung around in the third in an intense, contested quarter. Hopefully take a top 8 pick to the draft from here on in.

2 losses to Swans by a total of 10 points. 57 frees to Swans, 40 frees to Dons across those 2 games.

I’m not sure if it’s possible to find the stats to show the biggest disparity in frees between 2 sides? I reckon there mightn’t be a game between the sides in 25 years that Essendon has won the free kick count. If there is, you could count them on 1 hand.

Positive: we can score lots

Negative: we cant defend at all.

10th place is about right. We beat ourselves in the second half by turning it over and not being able to defend it, like at all.

Also, we might need someone to sit down and explain the advantage rule to our players. Three soft goals from just stopping at the whistle whixh ended up being the difference
