I know a few guys made errors but so did they . Bit of perspective. They are a top 4 side and we are a side trying to make it past 10 years of average.
There will be personal changes before we are at their level but you can not deny we have played with a bit of heart since the port game .

Merret, durham, caldwell have led the way since the Port game.

Cox with some big effort moments as well.

Stringer was good today apart from some goal kicking. I noticed a few times caldwell didn't give it back when busrting out of the middle that could have really made his day.

Hobbs battled, was slow to give it up. Two of the holding balls though he made the right decision and just tucked the ball in. Collingwood were out both times and at least holding the pill, slowed the play down enough for us to get back.

Do not think so as far as fitness. The just pounced on our errors and had better spread . It is the confidence they have in their game . We ran the game right out . It was just up and back for the last 10 minutes. They would have run us over if we were not at their fitness level.
They have the confidence to jut keep rolling the dice . We are not at that level yet .

Also they have better kicks in their team to move the ball quickly whereas we get the ball to Kelly, Laverde, Heppell who are more likely to hold onto it as they are more limited with their disposal.

Brad pulled a coaching masterstroke with that move of Martin forward in the last. Nearly won us the game.

Faaaarken bit flat at the ground with no songs. Beats losing though, and is great given our percentage

Lucky we didnt sub one of the rucks off at 3/4 time given what happened to Jones. Could have ended up 1 short which would have killed us. Draper and Goldy did compete hard to the end at least.

I can't believe Langford missed. But 6.1 in the first then 6.12 after is bad football. Next time.

I'm proud of the boys regardless. Think there are a lot of positives to take out of that game, but also lessons which might've been drowned out by a win, without it being a loss. Enough to know you're on the right track but also a slap to the side of the head to make you wanna straighten up. Best of both worlds from a development point of view.

Really felt like we should have won that, but at the same time I'm pretty happy with how we fought it out. Couldn't see us doing that much over the past few years in those circumstances. Hopefully the belief and "learnings" it gives the team make up for the 2 points lost

Yep, was feeling positive until in the pre game remembered we were in a similar win/loss position last year.

Realistically only difference so far is elliot dropped the mark this year and we had much better percentage last year.

Hoping durham, McKay, duursma prevent it this year. 3 players who always give 100% effort.

What a shame when Jakey tackled DeGoey and didn’t convert that goal because it was such a big moment in that we showed them that we are not getting bullied anymore.

Im happy we got something out of it and didnt lose. Had our chances to win but so did they. Bit of an hollow feeling but 2 points is better than 0. To play the premiers with some good players missing and some absolute dross out there is nothing to be ashamed of.

I must say that was some mark by Elliott (ie the hanger on McKay). I hate the prick but credit to him. And slotted the shot. Glad he wasnt the match winner (again).
