The only takeaway from it was this: when both clubs play at their absolute worst, the tigers are slightly less worse.

The good;

• Archie Roberts. 31 disposals and did some monster efforts tonight. He should be firming for the rising star after his stellar effort tonight..
• Jordan Ridley looked like he hasn't missed a beat. Hope he can actually play more than 6 games in a row cause he is such silk when fit. and a top liner.

The bad;

• Transition defence. So sick to ******* death of opponents waltzing the ball from end to end. Even dump kicks seem to be marked by Tigers players tonight. Pisses me off.
• lack of leadership. Literally no one stood up tonight when we needed a leader. Poor from MErret who must be tiring, poor from McGrath.
• fear the kids are running out of steam. This marathon has been fun but Clarke appears to be running on fumes, Caddy looks gassed after quarter time, Kako's repeat efforts are dwindling.
• Inside 50's and converting these. The synergy between the midfield and forwards simply does not exist. I dont care about games together or training together etc. The lack of talk and communication astounds me. We lack marking options across half forward.
• Skill level is simply not up to scratch .Abysmal doesnt cut it. A big amount of players tonight won't play in a finals win with this football club. They simply cannot kick and today's game requires you to do this basic, professional skill.

The ugly;
- injuries; Can't say anything else but more long tremors.

Saw a tweet that Rosa's list management next year will have

• 4 x ACL's (Hayes, Edwards, Bryan, Martin)
• 1 x achilles (Draper)
• 1 x concussion fears (Cox)

multiple players constantly with soft tissue injuries (Langford, Parish, Reid, Caldwell)

thats not even considering guys who simply aren't good enough

yep, and it always happens Blues lost, pies lost, Hawks lost and we couldn't get it done. even a scrappy win would have done.

Hopefully have two top 5 picks, 2 academy kids and Bewick the next season. Who they are saying is equivalent to nick daicos level output before he got drafted.
This experience for the first year players is worth plenty. These guys are playing integral roles at afl instead of being sub/ lesser role.

This will get even uglier score and win wise but it should catapult our rebuild.

Once we are good, the Essendon train will be bigger than Richmond. 100k members and our homes and the atmosphere will be incredible.
