Edwards needs a spell, he kicked the sealer but otherwise lost every contest I saw him in.
He’s looked unfit all season. I noticed it at my first live game of the season against Melbourne, his opponent that night was burning him time after time with long strong running, he couldn’t cover and was giving up the chase.. and nothings changed since then.

Should be has been ordinary all year .

He did 2 good things for the entire game. Think his going the aarts Castagna way which is disappointing as he is so far superior. Perhaps the weather he could be excused this game as some others were having trouble eg Short looked like Ellis bombing the ball straight to their players. Balta and Tarrant are the real worries against those 2 monsters coming up, let's hope it's wet again.

I’d be tempted to play Rioli on Cameron once he heads up the ground . Would allow us to keep our structure and have porky going against Miller as well as one of grimes , Vlaustin , Gibcus .

Would like to see Stack come in. Gives us more flexibility to move Baker around to go where needed without losing quality at half back. Stack can also go forward and I am sure he would offer as much as Clarke does at the moment.

Let's hope he is across half back on Sunday.

Got home from the game at midnight with this strange feeling that we hadn’t been totally done over by the umpires. It felt quite unusual - which just goes to show how tough it’s been for us. (We’ve all seen the statistics re free kick differentials……for years). We may have got a slight edge last night, but the Carlton board is hilarious. You’d think the world was ending re umpiring. Imagine if they had got a 33-13 pasting like our Adelaide game, let alone a minus 10 like we’ve had multiple times this year, or the crazy inconsistent 50s?

Have to agree, he just can't get his feet moving quick enough so is panicking everytime he gets it or rushing to dispose before he gets nailed. Even when he has some time those off balance spearing passes of the past are now miskicks. I'm not big on gifting guys games to get to milestones, thats what crap clubs like Carlton do, but would be keen to see how Shedda goes as sub, coming on when the other players have slowed down, can also play any part of the ground so worth a try but at the moment he is just turning it over eveytime he goes near the ball.

Use to really dislike him. But the last three years he's been a top 10 player, and maybe even top 5 this year.

Even back in 17-18 when he had still had his doubters he has always been so solid defensively. I honestly don’t remember a time when he’s had a bag of goals kicked on him. He now has almost a complete game aside from the odd shank which can be forgiven.

Hated it. Especially to Docherty who is a pretty decent sort of guy.

We don’t know what’s been said on the field , Shai clearly doesn’t like him, and to say Docherty is a decent bloke just because he has recovered from ball cancer may be a stretch, it’s the commentators who say that just because …………., is that to say crimmins wasn’t a good bloke because the cancer got him?

I don't think Ryan should be ruled out either. He's been improving throughout the year and played his best game for the club last week. If he has another good one it may be time to give him another run.

I think he has a long way to go. Not physically imposing and will get trashed, doesn’t hold marks consistently.

From what I saw we out played Carlton for over 3/4's of the game, and our game style is that if we lose possession when going forward at full tilt the other team has little opposition against them. It's the way we play, and it's going to happen that they will get some easy goals, I think if the game had gone on for another ten minutes we would have won by another couple of goals.

Clarke was not horrendous.

He has a lot of talent and a footy brain, it will take a little time for him to come up to speed, look at Liam Baker he got caught with the ball all the time and looked ordinary when he first started.
