What a surprise. With all these stories about the weak AFL crowds, I started to wonder if our poor luck with dodgy umpiring might start to disappear.

within 2 weeks we have 2 of the most umpire friendly games i have seen us get for a few years. Funny that.

As i have been saying, i think the AFL has broken the glass which held the tiger within it & our luck is going to start changing again.

Turns out they need us more than they hate us

Coincidental ??

I have to say, Carlton fans are the most downright vile, despicable and loathsome to behold. Every year, I try and find those rare gems that do not fit the generalization but every year I attend the game and they only heighten my utter hatred for them as a collective.

I couldn't attend the first game of the season but the rest of my tribe attended. I thought perhaps it might be an opportunity for them to return home with stories of kindness, unbiased support and 'Carlton Care'. Instead they told me of Blues fan screaming in my young kids faces, trying to wave them home, gesturing towards their tiny genitalia. My wife was appalled and said she would never return to a Carlton game again.

In the first quarter of this game, I thought perhaps the Blues Fans had finally mellowed but then they kicked a few goals and their true natures emerged once more. Cheering into the back of my children's heads and spilling their drinks was the start. As a the game neared its zenith, some in front of us began to turn around to wave us goodbye and call us chokers. It was a classy display that my oldest had to hold me back from remonstrating.

Then light broke through from the heavens and Broadie's 'Hand of God' decision deflated there arrogance better than anything I could ever spit back. It still didn't stop me from celebrating like we had won the 2017 GF all over again. The next sequence of play with Edwards slotting through another, had me almost lose my voice and pop a heart valve in one triumphant cheer. All directed towards the repugnant blue smeared filth encircling us. My families eruption of euphoria must have done the trick because moments later, we had most of the stand to ourselves.

I found my hatred crumbling toward the Blues after a decades of misery and pain but after a small glimpse of success they have woken me up to the truth once again. They are the most noxious, repugnant, appalling group of supporters in any league in the world. Burn in hell....

Too far?
Not far enough.

Inexcusable behavior.
I'm sorry your young family were subjected to such appalling acts of bullying, insults and sexual taunts.
We should be entitled to go to any public outing with an expectation that respect be afforded by all.
Rapt for you & yours that a win had the desired affect to put the arrogance to bed, most satisfying no doubt.

Cats going through a heavy training load at the moment. Looks like we’re getting them at the right time.

Not far enough …. The Scum are the most vile club and supporters to ever grace this earth … F##k every last one of them I say !!!!!

The game against Geelong is must win imo. If we win there's a clear path to having a crack at top 4. If we lose that window closes.
Absolutely a must-win IMO. Things are so tight that we can mathematically end up as high as 4th and as low as 11th by the end of next round.

We can still make top 4 even if we lose against Geelong, but a win is obviously a much better outcome for morale purposes.

a look at this way, based on our form thus far in season 2022 and the ladder positions of Geelong,Fremantle and Brisbane
ive calculated that 1 win from these 3 upcoming encounters against these fellow top 8 combatants is the most realistic expectation

Just change your club to Richmond mate.

Agree, though they are one team you will be fighting for a possible spot in the top 4.
Tigers play the Hawks, Port, Dons, Eagles, Suns and Nth.
All should be 4 points and some a % boost. Win these & you have 56 points.

Games against the Dockers, Lions & Cats will be 50/50's and will determine where your at & if you can make a serious challenge again.
I suspect in reality you win most of the former games and 1 or 2 of the latter placing you around 4th at years end.

A quick look at the fixture & the Scum, Saints, Swans, Dockers and Cats all have tough games to come & they have to play each other again ensuring a loss for one team which is a bonus.
The Swans and Saints even play each other twice on the home run, go figure.

I dont realistically believe we have any chance of making top 4 and will need 13 wins to make top 8 this year which we should make but not sure if we are playing well enough to give it a real crack in 2022.

I have the geelong game as a loss with Balta missing , He is extremely important against a team like geelong with Cameron/Hawkins

We are well and truly ducked if Tarrant and Balta are both missing several weeks due to injury
