Casts a big ugly shadow over part of the ground. Looks crap on TV and many players have spoken about not liking it either.
Yep, when it goes from bright light to shadow, or vice-versa, it's very difficult for players

That CBA stat shows how reliant the lions are on Neale.
He’s a gun but he’s over 30 now. Can’t do it forever to that degree.

Who would’ve thought that our best pressure forwards would be our big men, Chol’s chasing is brilliant and his acceleration is a sight to behold, he causes the defenders to rush their kicks.
Then there’s Dear who just shows an appetite for the contest.
Both these guys as key forwards are setting the tone.

Our defenders will be loving their work as it allows them more time to setup.

Was a bit worried before the start of the season that our forward line would struggle to put on pressure. Chol, Dear and Watson have been a pleasant surprise in that area. Hardwick and Moore also very good.

This season has had a bit of everything.
Hope.
Fantastic performances.
Moments and quarters to forget.
Reality checks.
Learning experiences.
Lessons learnt.

Once we can play a more consistent 4 quarters we will be a force to be reckoned with in the next few years.

Spot on

I feel we're in what was the 2006 phase. I dare to dream of finals and a 2007 style push

What a game! Just got home and had the best time.

  • Day in the midfield is just Bontempelli Junior and I love it
  • Worpel back to the main man role in the midfield - he's really come a long way as a player - that lace out pass to Chol form the centre break was awesome
  • I counted 7 free kicks in a row to Brisbane to start the third quarter. Stats say I'm exagerating a bit - but it was a weird patch of the game.
  • I'm glad Dear is kicking multiple goals in multiple games. The guy would be forgiven for having a few donuts to start the career but he's doing some really nice things.
  • Chol. Just love this guy
  • Chol, Ginnivan, D'Ambrosio, Gunston and Meek. What an offseason it was.(Or was Meek the previous year?). Would not have done so well today without that lot!
  • Some of the clean hands around the packs was elite today - Newcombe, Worpel, Nash, Day all flicking it around to each other to create space.
  • The break was good for Sicily
  • Frost continues to be a beast
  • Seeing multiple goals to Gunston, Chol and Dear says our forward line is starting to work the way it should.

So much to like. Wins like this make it worth riding through the bumpy times.
