After the thrilling win over Brisbane this could get ugly at the MCG, I believe we are going to need another ruck to help Lobb out against the beast in Grundy with Jones and Meek being the candidates after strong games at Peel. Hogan worst on ground 3rd game in a row imo, lucky Tabs is injured or he would be looking at getting dropped.

Leave your changes to the side down below.

Out: Hogan, Duman
In: Meek, Nyhuis

One of the two KPFs has to go after, and Cox's two goals get him over the line. Lobb was great around the ground today, but we need him taking those grabs up forward.

Not particular criticism of Duman's game today, but Nyhuis is a better fit for the backline (would have been a far better option on Cameron today, for instance.)

Unless we are replacing Hogan with Dixon or a ruckman I doubt we change anything.

Grundy is going to monster whomever we put up (unless Sandi is miraculously fit) so I wouldn't bother with Jones or Meek.
The only thing I'd consider is Meek or Jones in so you could push Lobb up, add McCarthy and take Hogan out who needs a spell.

I know Grundy is a different beast but Lobb was very good today. His stuff intercepting down the line was amazeballs.

Agree Lobb was awesome, the move would be to fix what is clearly an out of confidence and form forward line.
I think it is the same issue we used to have with "play Fyfe forward". Personally think that similar to Fyfe, Lobb's best forward work is drifting in from the middle. If we see him standing inside 50 all game you just know we are going to drop it on his head for 4 quarters.

I thought Duman was good but small forward s keep cutting us upand nyhuis is a good defensive back pocket. Cant we have both?

Bewley had a taster but Bennell could play as much game time as he did for more impact.
In Harley

Need to Bring in Scott Jones. Let scott jones and Rory Lobb rotate the ruck spot and FF spot.

McCarthy only kicked 1 goal for peel on the weekend. But if he is fully fit, Bring him in.

I agree with another poster on the Peel Board. Yes Harley Bennell got 30 disposals and 2 goals. Dont let him play vs Collingwood. Bye is next then the Port game in Perth. Give Bennell 1, maybe 2 more games before we give him another AFL game.

And to think I wanted Cerra to be rested vs Brisbane today. He kicked 2 goals today and that was the difference.

I assure you had Taberner had been fit, Tabs would of kicked 2-3 goals today and we would of won by 2-3 goals rather than one. Gutted he is out injured.

I didnt even watch the Game, I was actually tired and stayed up all night last night and fell asleep during the arvo. lol

But serious question, How did Darcy tucker, Switkowski and Brayshaw go? All 3 got around 15 disposals each. I am really keen to drop or rest one of those 3 blokes if its needed then replace one of them with a guy like Tom North or Lach Schulz for a debut game.

Hogan won’t be dropped

Agreed. Not really spolit for Choics of KPFs with Tabs injured. Think of a Tarberner effect.

I want McCarthy back in. Again, I don't care if Hogan is goal less or is double teamed if that means Cam McCarthy, Walters and Matera are free to roam around and kick 2-4 goals each.

I dont expect Freo to knock off the Pies at the MCG. I do half expect freo to kick 12 or 13 goals and either Hogan, Matera or McCarthy to lead the goal kicking with 3-4 goals

Maybe Hogan’s experience at the MCG could pay off a bit? I sooo hope so!!

Hogan and Brayshaw Out.

In: Jones and Colyer

Have Lobb play 60/40 in the fwd line. Need that marking capability in the fwd line. I said Colyer in but maybe even crowden. Bennell not yet.

Due to 6 day break I'd like to see them rest a couple and reward effort from 2nd's

In: from: crowden, Bennell, nyhuis

Out: ?? Maybe bewley he ran hard and was effective with disposal but didn't get a lot of the pill, not sure who else?

Whilst it's hard to change when I team wins with 6 day break and must win game then a bye I hope they inject some fresh legs in
