That was dumb Butters at his best. Completely unnecessary attempted pass.

There was a mountain of space there for Drew and Richards to step into with no defenders paying attention.

Butters was trying to make them do the obvious and they still weren't aware enough.

Honestly this is incredibly ugly, any other side and this is a 50 point deficit already. Huge capitulation incoming.

The effort is there but there is a big gap between the way the two teams are playing. Their innacuracy has prevented a 4-5 goal margin. We’re turning the ball over all over the ground both through careless mistakes (Burgoyne x3) and their pressure. They are swarming us and generating the outnumber. We haven’t been able to move it past centre and when we do we have made poor choices.

The ruck battle is hurting us and then their mids, wings and flankers seem to be combining more effectively than ours.

It would need a massive change to get this game back on level terms. If it continues like this in the second quarter, it will be game over at the half.

So many players down today. Nothing from Rozee, an injured JHF, Liddy (way out of his depth in the centre square), Burgoyne, Rioli, Georgiades. Rucks, especially Visentini have been poor. BZT is a train wreck. SPP keeps knocking over teammates.

Three goals down is a big margin the way this has been played.

It looked to me as though we fiddled with what has worked for us this year. With Wines out, you must go Butters, Drew and Bergman in the centre bounce and rotate them with Rozee, Rioli and SPP. They are the only clearance capable players. Not Mead, not Liddy.

We don’t know our own players.
