Well lucky to get through that one. 8-5 is better than 7-6.
Sucks with Switkowski being injured yet again. He must be pissed off with his own body.

IN: Dudley, Pearce
OUT: Switkowski, Draper

Have such a strange feeling JOM will play as sub this week and Erasmus out with Fyfe full time mid. Be very silly if that feeling is realised

Sharp should be on limited chances. Just doesn’t impact enough regardless of his elite running. NOD provides impact and more on ball. Be interesting to see what the coaches will do

I feel like Sharp's role has changes and he is trying to spread the game out wider - I miss his free running game

I also think O'Driscoll will get a spot this week

I don't think Switta is actually injured, he was doing run throughs and looked unsure so they played it safe (I sit right near the dugout). JL also said it was tightness, not an injury.

I think he probably still misses the 1 given his history though. Helps to have a good player to swap in for him in Dudley.

I think we may give Pearce one more week off too, which is ironic.

Interesting selection squeeze coming up soon. Walker will be available after a week at Peel I suspect. NOD should come in for Sharp. Question marks will remain over Ras/Fyfe/JOM and who gets the spots.

I think I would rest Darcy and add the extra runner for this one.

From JL presser:
  • Pearce "touch and go" for next week.
  • Switta had "hamstring tightness" and physio didn't want to risk putting him back out there.
  • Walters knee flare up not serious - just soreness from upping his training intensity.

I would expect Fyfe to play the full game on Thursday. For his freshness more than anything, there'll be some sore boys out of tonight especially with a five day break so having him only play a quarter will mean he's more ready than most for Thursday

then there might not be any changes
Am glad Switta m ght not be serious - we need him

With Switta's injury history and a five day break, I expect the likelihood of him playing on Thursday is extraordinarily low.

Dudley and Narkle are options.

I'm just glad it might not be an extended period of time.

I didn't watch the Peel game, but would hae expected Dudley to get more than 1 of their 14 goals, and Narkle didn't score any.

Dudley played well in the second half, and was probably unlucky not to kick another couple more goals. 5 tackles showed good F50 pressure too.

Narkle had 22 disposals with a touch of class. Less of a goal threat though.

Like for like, Narkle is probably the replacement for Switta, but they may want more of an offensive structure and go for the extra goalsneak.

Tonight was a bit of a slog and with a 5 day break I would think a rested Omac should come in either up forward in place of Amiss or down back in place of Draper if Pearce is not ready.

Dudley should come in for Switta.

And it is waste of time saying it but Brodie dominated for Peel again today and deserves a chance but it won't happen.

Given the choice be between having Dudley or Narkle in vs Essendon, I want Dudley in.

Dudley would at worst kick a goal or 2 and do something creative

out swita,Erasmus

In duds and Brodie Brodie Brodie Brodie Brodie for f sake

Why would Ras go out? Not sure why he was subbed, was one of the better players before that.

Draper has to go though, absolute liability at the moment. If AP isn’t ready just play OMac.
