You are right..he would be top 15

Whoa! Do you reckon? I would have him in the cluster between 15-25, depending on balance and position. Certainly not an automatic selection for me, and one of the players that a more developed Sheriden/Michie/Sutcliffe/Crozier/Neale/Forster/Simpson could displace in the coming seasons (not necessarily a direct swap).

You missed Memories and Mundy. And a fair few of our supporters who still don't see how good Dawson is.

I hate it, no matter how much other people point out the good they do, some people just cannot take the blinkers off and continue to hate a particular player.

Clancee is best 22, we all know it (except for one person). He is one of the few that have played every game and probably is one of the nominees for a rest.

Mundy, Barlow, Fyfe and Hill have all missed games through injury / suspension so shouldnt need a rest.

Other candidates for a week off could be Mayne, Johnson, Crowley.

TBH I would really consider giving Crowley a week off - he isn't slowing down, but he has had a massive work load this year and would have to be sore given the constant battering he gets.

here we go again!
because I have an opinion different from most, I deserve to be ostracized?
Is BF becoming dockerland?
I was banned from there when I was questioning Chris Connolly. I was derided at the time, but most people came around to my point of view.
I don't care what others think of Clancee "Clanger" Pearce.
I've got every right to express my opinion.
And it isn't based on any dislike on my part for Clancee.
Yes, he has a strong body, yes he has a long kick. Yes, he has been OK in most games.
Yes, he has worked very hard to improve.
Comparing him to Dodd was silly on my behalf. It was because of the frustration I felt at the time.
For mine, I reckon he is more like Hypnotoad from Futurama who has brainwashed everybody (jokinggggggggggggggggggggggggg :p)
I'd love for Clancee to win a Norm Smith for us, but I can't see it happening.
I just think that we have better players who could take his place.
Seriously, did anybody actually think that he was good on the weekend, or in the derby?
And, I would like to point out that I said that he was OK against Adelaide when I gave my POTY votes, so enough of the bulldust that I don't like the bloke.
It is not personal.
I simply want the best possible team for Freo!

clancee didn't poll 10 brownlow points (or whatever it was) last year for nothing. he's definitely become more of a role player this year but he's as important to us as spurr is. he was a bit ordinary on the weekend but that might have something to do with his calf injury.

I believe that there will be 3 to 4 changes max this week.

Pav will come in and some of those needing a rest will go out.

So I think Clancee will go out for Ibbo if he is right to play.

Mundy needs a rest, maybe Fyfey-but he had 3 weeks off earlier in the year.

Micky Barlow perhaps rested?

Mayne out for Crozier, Tabs or Mellington?

P.S. MRP review completed and no charges from our game. Surprised that Campbell Brown got off whilst Pav got 3 weeks for the same thing.

LOL- Prestia charged for pushing "Powder Puff Gaff" into an umpire.:D

Barlow, Mundy and Fyfe have had a few weeks on the sideline this year and need to stay in the guts as we wind up to September. Mundy should only get rested if the medical team don't want to push a niggle in his ankle etc.

There is more merit in resting a younger/fringe player that has played every game DeBoar/Mzungu/Danyle/Crowley/Fish Pub.

Johnson and Dawson have played every game, but can't afford the rest and they don't look like they need it. Having Luke come back is going to be a real help though... :D

Fish Pub was subbed out injured
Ibbo didn't make the cut (injured) and could well miss again
Mundy sounds like he will be rested.
The only definite in is Pav, and he is a forward so different roles to those three.
Michie could get a run to replace Mundy, we also need another tall defender - perhaps SNOS to get another run as a defender?

Kevin Sheedy is still bitter for Harvey

Sheedy said he was expecting further improvement against the Dockers, who dented Carlton's finals bid while cementing their place in the top four. "There's no denying the Dockers are a very, very good side, but that's in large part due to the legacy left by Mark Harvey's planning and recruiting," Sheedy said.
"Matthew Pavlich aside, Ross Lyon got himself a very good side put together by Harvey."
Sheedy's comments are bound to stir Lyon, who many in the west saw as a controversial coaching appointment following his departure from St Kilda in the wake of Harvey's controversial axing after 4 1/2years at the Dockers.
Harvey is a senior assistant to Michael Voss at Brisbane Lions.

Sheeds is just trying to stir the pot ahead of this weekends game.

It's probably just because he coached him at Essendon.

I think Mayne, Crowley and Mundy should be given a rest game in the next two week.

It has already been stated that Mundy is a bit sore. Also, Clancee was subbed off hurt and Ibbo didn't start (so technically not a change, but still needs to be managed) Can't see us fitting in many more changes than these.

I swear he mentioned the exact same thing last year prior to us playing GWS. I'm keen to find that article now..

I also vaguely remember some comment about Harves last year.

Agreed for no resting players, only injured/semi-injured players to get the week off. Maybe only possible exception is Crowley, with De Boer and Mzungu to fill tagging duties (although I still can't see this happening).

This is a much different game to last year, GWS may only have won one game this year but they've played with much greater intensity and skill than last year. They've kept up with Geelong and Collingwood until the 4th quarter and have suffered other moderate losses to good teams. The one win they have achieved came last week, and they'll be coming over here full of confidence.

With our present strong team I still expect a comfortable win; but maybe not the 95 points (that should have been 150) last year. RTB will want that though, as apart from winning all our last games percentage boosting may be the difference between Sydney losing 1 or 2 games that see us into the Top 2 (or at least in a position where we're not playing Hawks first week).

I think we're mad if we don't rest 2 or 3 this week and again next week. There's a massive difference in our percentage compared to Sydney so finishing above them on % is unlikely IMO.

We'll all be gutted if Fyfe goes down this week against the Giants and if we can't beat GWS at Subi comfortably without him then we're not a top 4 side anyway.

Really wish Sheedy would move on. I initially thought he was a good idea to promote GWS but he just comes across as a silly old goat, no disrepect meant! (He is a legend of the game, after all)

I know Ross doesn't get sucked in to this crap but I hope we smash them, and I mean smash them.

Can we finally break Modra's most goals in a game record?

Was Harvey responsible for all the recruiting decisions made? Harvey whilst with us was reasonably OK, but started to go a little strange (possibly due to the teams injuries and subsequent pressure)
Whilst at the time we were moderately happy with Harvey, it would be like I'm currently driving a Holden but have the chance to drive a Mercedes what should I do?

Sheedy is just embarrassing himself with comments like that. There is a chasm between Harvey and Lyon. Does he have a spin on why Harvey isn't being shoe-horned in as his replacement at GWS given how fab he is?

I do watch every little thing each of our player does.
Clanger is not top 25!

I don't think you do. 'Clanger' as you call him, has been infinitely better than Matt DeBoer this season (by anyone's measure) yet you're not calling for De Boer to be dropped. You're probably giving him votes instead.

Sheedy just makes these coments because there's nothing interesting to be said about his team.
