Mzungu and D. Pearce were woeful and both need to be dropped. Problem is there isn't many options to replace Pearce, whereas C. Pearce can replace Mzungu.

IMO Dawson was pretty ordinary too, and would need to improve on that performance. I would probably have A. Pearce in the side over Dawson, and would drop Dawson for Pavlich, swinging A. Pearce back to defence.

The one other guy that was pretty useless was Crozier, he has not grabbed his opportunity during Ballas absence, and will be dropped the second Ballantyne is available.

I guess if everyone was fit and available I would make these changes:
Out: Dawson, Mzungu, Crozier

In: Ballantyne, C. Pearce, Pavlich

Tentative:
Duffield in for D. Pearce. Swing Suttcliffe to the wing.
Weller in for DeBoer

Both these things. People fixate too much on him dropping marks and fail to see the positive impact he had on our forward structure.

We are 12-1 this year in games where Taberner played.
4-3 in games he didn't play.

Reminds me of that stat about the Eagles' winning % when that red head used to play up front for them!! Somehow we were supposed to think he was a half decent player despite all evidence to the contrary!

But I'm sold on Tab's providing he can keep his development curve heading upwards. His kicking's improved a lot - now just needs to grab more marks when out on the lead.

Forgot to mention Mayne - this guy was a dead eye dick and has turned into a crab in front of goal. That missed set shot in the third quarter absolutely crucified us. He has become very inconsistent and needs to improve before finals.

Sheridan had an off day yesterday but had been ok in recent weeks. Deserves to hold his spot IMO.

Not sure what happened but we were going at around 90% by foot in Q1 then it all went to sh*t. Do training watchers know if they are in a heavy load training block?

Sorry to intrude guys but I've got a fantasy related question. There keeps being talk of Mundy being rested due to a niggling injury. Is there any genuine substance to that? Or just rumours due to Ross' history of resting players before September ?

dawson simply must be sacked worst player ive ever seen play afl

ins even a 5 yr old could play better than him

Get a grip.

What happened with him, I've only gone to a couple of games plus the TV ones but you watch them every week.

Just goes missing for long periods.Flashes in on the odd occasion and can kick a good goal but makes the easy look incredibly hard and can on rare occasions make the difficult look easy.

He is also not defensive enough. Ross has mentioned this before. Until he does this more he won't play under Ross Lyon

Ross just on 6pr and was adamant freo played 3 good quarters vs north and generally i felt wasnt that upfront and a bit defensive. Seems the stats were in our favour and he was pleased apart from skill errors. Im really concerned, looks like no changes coming up and hopefully things turn around.

Is it just me or did we seem to run out of legs after 1 quarter? Is our fitness not up to scratch or are they going too hard at the start of the game?
We just stopped running which made the Kangaroos look good. All the commentators are giving Norf all the credit but I think we just stopped and they kept going.

We dominated that second quarter. Unfortunately we couldn't execute the really important part and kick a bloody goal or two
