Turned his body in a way that would help minimize contact. He was airborne, he can't do much more than that. Frankly, he should have stuck both arms out for the ball and they both could have been KO'd. Would have made the whole thing a whole lot more palatable seeing them both get wiped out, rather than just one player.

All this does is punishes players for making an attempt to get to the football first. He was a fraction late, and tried to minimize the contact. 4 weeks is crazy.
Where exactly did he make an attempt on the football?

Cause that’s the issue.

Weights actuon has been a suspension for 3/4 years.

If you wanna compare it to something look at Lynch (who got off) but at least got his arms up.

Ridiculous defending Wright.

You think he would have done that if it was his team mate?

He had eyes only for the ball and was preparing to take a chest mark, which is why his arms weren't outstretched. He was contesting the ball, not laying a bump.

Turned his body ?
As Bucks said - he could’ve punched the ball? Had his hands out to mark it??
Wright made that decision and he’s done it before the vision shows
4 was wright..

Took his eyes off and turned for contact.

You’re catagorically wrong here mate.

This one’s been a suspension for quite some time, there’s no death of anything from this outcome.

In the king decision

Guidelines provide any high bump which constitutes rough conduct that has the potential to cause injury will usually be graded at a minimum ‘medium’ impact, even though the extent of the actual physical impact may be low.

ANY high bump that has the potential to cause injury.

That’s EVERY high bump and really, every high tackle.

That makes absolutely NO sense.

But there would be nothing else he could except iron him out lol
He could have abandoned the contest, and then everyone would be calling him soft and weak for shitting himself.

At the last second, he turned for contact. He braced for the impact, didn't seek to cause it. It's a football action, and accident.. It's bizarre you'd be defending it as if he lined a guy up and got him deliberately.

Or would you prefer players to pull out of contests if they think there's a chance they might not be first to the ball?

Can we get a few of the below types of Bummers fans in this thread to spice the week up a lil bit? They're dead quiet, maybe shitting it after what we did to them last time

Potential to cause injury ...... what a crock of horseshite

Both Frampton actions of cannoning into Higgins and Draper's action of smashing into Lloyd both had the potential to cause serious injury yet one wasn't cited and one was graded as low impact but in both incidents the velocity of the hit was higher and more aggressive than Kings but he cops a medium grading

MRO can get fkd

I disagree completely with your assessment that he didn’t seek to cause impact but either way it actually doesn’t matter. Bracing, turning, whatever is electing to bump, that’s how they have assessed it for quite some time.

If you’re not happy about it, grab a Time Machine and complain about 5 years ago, Wright was getting suspended for that since Wilson was just a speckle in his daddy’s sack.

More legalese horse**** to back up a weak decision, in other words the AFL operating as usual. Christian gets his revenge for the Pies losing.

There wasn't much chance of King getting off after Wright got 4 weeks, Max being a Saints player made it even less likely.

Worth a try I guess with how important he is to us but we beat Essendon without him last year so we can beat them again.

So it was graded medium even though they admitted it was soft because it could ve potentially caused injury even though it didn’t .
Hahaha Dickheads
