Now that Tarrant and Wakelin are out this week, who do we bring in and take out?
Here's my list...

OUT
Tarrant (injured)
Wakelin (injured)
Cloke (only had 5 disposals and didn't do much again)
Nixon (I know he's young, but take him out and bring in another young guy).

IN
C. Cloke (he got concussed in the VFL today though. he'd be good up forward, especially because Tarrant will be missing)
Williams (although he's a dud, he had 15 first-half disposals in the VFL today. give him a chance off the bench)
Kinnear (played OK in the VFL today)
King (it's about time he gets to play seniors)

I'm sure everybody has different opinions on the subject, but let's just hope that Mick makes the right decision.

CC>>>

P.S. I would have taken out Prestigiacomo too, but with Wakes out we need him down back.

I'm not sure I'd drop Jason Cloke with us already losing Shane Wakelin and no prospects for key backman (that I can see) to bring in. Certainly none of the "Ins" you suggested could be a key backman I don't think.

Definitely do agree with C.Cloke and Williams as inclusions. I don't think you can put last weeks loss down to Bo Nixon, I think that there are a few others I'd probably drop ahead of him. For me the jury is still out on Ben Kinnear, but I think we could do with another tall forward so either him or Steve McKee (who was also good down forward for the Seagulls).

I have to say that I was impressed with Brayden Shaw but more as a down the track player not as an immediate inclusion.

Anyway, that is just my opinion.

I didn't see anything too startling from the Williamstown game today.

Williams was very good, playing off half back, and will be a certainty next week. Walker wasn't too bad and will be selected to replace Wakelin - God know there's not much other choice.

I was impressed by Mullins and also by Brayden Shaw - but the rest of them were pretty ordinary.

Out:
Tarrant
Wakelin
Cole
Shaw

In:
Cloke
Walker
King
Williams

Cole and Shaw out for obvious reasons.

Cloke in, finally, hopefully he gets a go. Even though Kinnear will most likely come in.

Walker in for Wakelin, which would be obvious because of our lack of Tall Defenders and so many second string mid-fielders.

King Could be a player we could use well, Big bodied medium sized player. I think its time he takes teh step up.

I don't know why but Williams WILL Come in This Week.

Nixon will most likely Go Out by the way i think MM is thinking, but you can't really blame him fro his last two matches when he doesn't get a go.

If not for the Injuries Clokey would be going back to the seconds this coming weekend. but because wakelin is out i beleive he will stay in. As he Should!

Has anyone who demands Cameron Cloke get a game actually watch this guy play? He is a genuine hack. He makes J Cloke look like G Ablett.

These father son picks are killing the club.

Cloke Cloke Shaw Shaw Shaw

And we are hoping to clinch another Cloke. Enough!!

He is not a hack, but by the same token he is not ready for senior football.

Perhaps you should actually watch Braden Shaw, Heath Shaw, Cameron Cloke and Travis Cloke play before judging them on Jason Cloke and Rhyce Shaw.

Just a thought...

There's the conundrum Hotpie. Williams and Walker are two most likely imo to come in. They are also the two who will be most likely not to get a kick next week. Either that or they will sit on the bench for 3 1/2 quarters

BTW nice goal from Stunner roving the pack.

Mullins and Shaw were ok. Shackleton only just. Maybe McGough. At least he has shown has has been able to influence a Senior game at some stage. I still hold hopes for him.

Seen them all play, which is from which my opinion is born.

Brayden is the only one most likely but seems too slow.

Travis has a lot of hype and at least looks like he can move around abit, but a cloke is a cloke and i would cut my losses now.

Cameron, big hack and big waste of time.

Heath needs to improve dramatically to make the grade. Unlikely.

As i sais these shaw's and colkes are killing the club.

From watching the VFL I would have to say that McGough is not playing well enough to come up tp the seniors. To be honest I was really upset with how little impact he had. If we are going to criticise seniors players for getting touches and no impact then we must apply the smae to bloke trying to get inot the seniors. I thought that Brayden was more creative and showed more go forward than McGough although he had less of the ball.
Williams and Stunner were good, I think stunner is an option to play up forward particularly if Leon "the ignitor" Davis is back. He has ok control at ground level and at least will give a contest which is more than can be said for several of the other options tried the other night. Williams played well and will come in and then go out again (gee didn't chipper play well for the WCE!). totally agree on nixon, wht play him if your not going to play him ON THE GROUND.

he he he he he

For me the jury is still out on Ben Kinnear

My god, the jury must of come into session as kids, but now they are veterans. Hope there jobs are very patient because we signed him for two years. I reckon the jury will be out at seasons end 2005.

My inclusions:
In:
Out: Tarrant (inj), Wakelin (inj), Nixon
In: C.Cloke, Walker, Williams

J. Cloke needs to prove himself with Wakelin out.
I think we need minimal changes to try to keep some stability into the side. Although it didn't hurt us vs. Bulldogs.
This is the side:

B: Johnson, Prestigiacomo, Clement
HB: Lonie, J.Cloke, Shaw
C: Didak, Buckley, Woewodin
HF: Williams, Rocca, Swan
F: Lokan, C.Cloke, O'Bree
R: Fraser, Burns, Licuria
Int: Walker, Holland, Cole, Richards
Emg: Nixon, McKee, McGough

Carr will go to Buckley .....who are you running with Pav?
I would think Ryan Lonie is suitable for Pavlich. He has taken the job on Pike before and he is simular in that he is a strong tall midfielder. It would be a perfect opportunity for him to get midfield experience however I think with Wakes out he needs to hold a key position in the backline unless J.Cloke stands up.

We could try Williams against him but I am not very confident he could go with him.

An option is to simply put a Holland or Licuria on him and they don't expose the strength mismatch. If Pavlich floats forward Cloke/Lonie/Clement can be the 3rd man up at the contest. Which I think just might happen.

A suggestion out of left field is to have Fraser to run with him, however he will need to give The Ogre and Simmonds the runoaround because they can be dangerous around the ground.

As for Hasleby who is in good form either put Holland or Lokan who gave him a bit of a touch up last time. I think Holland will go with Bell.

To win:
We need to be on top in midfield and be reasonably good in the forward line. We need to get the structure right. If we had the forward line like last Thursday and delivered it there like the first half of last Thursday I think it should be right.

Just on a mildy relevant topic while Sandilands is a good player and could go on to big things I am sick of many media chumps pumping him up saying "he is so tall noone will be able to outmark him". They should know there is more to marking than reaching your hands in the air.

So who's going to win?

We will need to lift a notch or 7 or 8 (despite a 2 from 3 start, we haven't been great... ) if we are to be a chance on the road (not convinced about our away form at all, despite 3 from 6 in Melb last year)... and you guys are due after a less than convincing start to the season.

I'd say line ball at this stage, but at the risk of getting this picket lodged too far up... I'll say Collingwood by 26 pts (ouch that hurt).

I have little faith in us at the moment.
I think it will be a close game.

I'd be a hell of a lot more confident if we were playing at the MCG. Telstra dome is too similiar to Subiaco.
