I'd suggest the real side will be picked after training tomorrow given the emergencies named.......SANFL selections may add some clues.

Training will be in Melbourne, and you'd expect them to only take 1 travelling emergency, so it's only one option. If we don't take another tall, our flexibility will be seriously hampered, especially the option of running Chad on ball (assuming Toby is going to be back up ruck).

The degree to which he can "help out" is open to debate.

symes in is a disgrace. i dont understand the team makup that we need to change brogan for a soft ass reciever. If you brought symes in you need to get rid on lonie. Deluca needs the game time. I also think that Thommo is getting a rough end of the stick. (has he had a fight with tredders or something) I cant see the reason for his non selection.

Now I dont see why we would not have Chaplin in the team. given the fact that chad is going into the middle and toby is going to holding some of the ruck.

I am very unhappy with this weeks selection decisions.

They have taken the squad over before to be part of the routine and then sent back the extras on Friday afternoon given it's a very short trip time wise..........I'm clutching at straws as I'm stunned by what came through on the phone.......

No Chaplin is bizarre given how easily the makeshift defence was exploited in the Showdown.

Apart from that, unless there is a sizeable amount of ducks and drakes going on, Choco obviously feels he can run the Pies off their feet as the undersized Dogs have done in the past - despite it being at the G and not the sterile Dome.

It's the sort of selection that a tanking club would make - not one that is 2-1 and quite clearly nearing contention again.

Collingwood have 9 players 190+ cms plus an emergency. We have named 7 plus Chaplin and Deluca as emergencies. One of them will play, ie Deluca. Lonie is 189 cms.
