One positive for tonight - BT was commentating the Saints-Giants game on MMM this afternoon, so we don't have to listen to him say Par-fitt tonight.

Massive positive, this.

There is surely no way in the wide world that this is how Brandon wants his surname pronounced. Yet BT inanely rolls it out week after week.

With an absolutely ridiculous overemphasis on the second syllable as well. Couldn't sound more like a goose if he tried.

People here talk about a number of reasons to turn the sound down when BT is commentating. This particular act of idiocy on his behalf is top of that list for me whenever we suffer the ignominy of having him cover our games.

Sav starting in the ruck with Stanley on the pine according to K-Rock. Interesting.
Sav to rough them up before we introduce Stanley

Shane Obre on KROCK

Good win to the Bankers.

AFL listed blokes did good -
Smith did well around the ground won that - 50/50 in the hit outs.
Jones great pressure and go them out the back.
House and Gardner both solid and did well.

Chook Constable solid again. Plays inside Mid. Not his best day today - 20 touches or so - but still did ok. Very happy with his development.

Great to see Thurlow go up to AFL side - building his confidence thru playing multiple roles and looking for him to keep building back into his confidence in ability after the knee .

Smith - His #1 thing is his craft he needs to work on. Getting another string to his bow is getting him more successful forward - and when he does that well in VFL his ruck game gets better.

Crameri is building well - fitness doing better and getting more involved in the game.

Gardner - big in roads in yr1 and didnt advance as much in year 2. Gardner hurt by lack of JLT game 3 this year. Seems to indicate that the not ready for AFL - not getting demanding the consistency to get selected. Both are very competitive - comes down to decision making and sometimes it just the lapses in a few moments during games that are hurting him - get that consistency in the game and he'll be pushing for AFL games - but he's not there yet.

The other obloquy is BT's inability to know our players' names!

I reckon BT thinks he's clever, attempting a French pronunciation  because the Old French version of the name was Parfit or Parfite - meaning 'completed' or the Latin 'perfectus' or 'to finish or accomplish'. So BT is putting the emphasis on the 'fit/e' saying 'feet'. But he also stuffs up the 'Par' - to me, sounds like he's saying Puff-feet. It's so annoying!:mad::mad:
