Really liked Moore in the middle.

The only thing i dislike about Moore in the middle is we lose him fwd of centre. He is so damn good wherever he plays, we need two of him!

If both Worps and Nash are out he will spend alot of the game there Easter Monday. McDonald comes in to take his role. Thought he was very good in the 2nd half TBH, looked a very capable midfielder.

simply brilliant.

Actually thought Weddle and Morrison pretty good at times.

Newc and Moore tried really hard and Worpel got going in the second half. Hopefully nothing serious in the Nash and Worpel injuries.

This was the game where a lot of our younger players got a bit overwhelmed, was always gonna happen I guess.

CMac and Scrim will be great ins next week. We’ve got a lot of work to do.

He found his touch and physicality in the second half.

We are going to need it if Nash is out.

He looked much, much better in that second half.

That was awful and shows us we still have a ways to go before we can consider being contenders for the flag. Port Adelaide are distinctly mid table and we made them look phenomenal in the first half. Would want to see a fair bit more next week from a number of players if we are serious about doing anything this year.

He adds speed and dynamism to our midfield which is sorely lacking when Day is out.

Feel we are a touch shallow in the top line midfielder space. Newcombe and Day are great but after that it is patchy.

Hard to say much positive about that. They better turn up next week breathing fire, that was insipid.


We have Scrim and Croc returning, what I wouldn't do for a fit Dear or Lewis. I won't say any more on that front.

Props to Weddle, who was one of the only players who held their head up in the first half. Gunston was awesome, wish he was 10 years younger.

The midfield found their groove in the 2nd half, hopefully Worps hasn't done something nasty to his ankle, that would be a real setback.

Can’t fault the effort in the second half. Got a real target on our back. Down and out but fought back hard to the end.

Unfortunately not the case.

Sicily did not lead today, and had some inexcusable moments as a leader.

There were so many low IQ plays throughout - be it Worps smothered handball, Wiz’s snap with Chol open in the square etc.

Ultimately, when you only play one half of footy, it’s hard to win.

Worpel limping off is an indictment on the medical team. Watched the incident again, no contact to his ankle whatsoever, just wasn't fully healed. Leaves us up shit creek for next week.

HH might get his chance.

Need some guys who will show a bit more mongrel. We got pushed around by those ferals and our response was pretty weak.

Their leaders shat all over ours tonight. Midfield didn’t stand up when the game was there to be won.

After poor first halves, Moore and Sicily stood up. Meek was good as were Newk and Frenchie. Gunston clearly our best. Weddle, Worpel, CJ and Mass tried hard.

A massive reality check. We are a long way from premiership material at the moment.

Scrim and CMac will be huge ins but we need more toughness. Frost and HH could both come in if Worps and Nash are both out. I love Chol but his efforts tonight were pea hearted. Would rather Frosty at FF because at least he would put his knees into someone’s back and get physical.

Well that was a stinker. The stinkiest we've played for a long time. Hopefully we've got all the stinkyness out of our system and next week we come up smelling of roses. We will be there at the pointy end, Port will not.

Positives:

1. Gunners.
2. Newk.

Negatives:

Deep breath.

• Chol: an absolute non entity and repeatedly outmarked - not just beaten, which I feel is an important distinction - but outmarked repeatedly. What else is there to add.
• Maguiness: You could literally take him off the field when we have the ball and we'd be a way more effective team in possession than when he is there. The amount of times he lost contests, missed 5m handballs, failed to kick and not only any of the items just listed but also handing the ball back to the f**king Port players is astounding.
  Tagger, defensive midfielder or whatever he is, you can not have a player with that skill level in your team at AFL level.
• Our entire backline was beaten soundly.
• CJ was targeted and tonight really showed the difference between him and Scrimshaw. I know he works his backside off but we probably need a bit more cleanliness on the ball if we want to be a serious player in finals.
• Ginni: I did not see him win a single contest. Contributing nothing.
• Everybody else was well unders except for the 2 players listed above as positives.

Ginnivan always has about a dozen more touches than I think when I look at the stats. He hasnt looked anywhere near it all year. Bruest has to play ahead of him

His lack of pace is a real problem.

Could've waived the white flag after being down 72 points but we actually gave them a scare at the end, huge kudos for that.

Will give them a lot belief come next week. I'm not sure why Port are overjoyed, after been abysmal in the second half.
